"Changed my opinion of Cancun"
In 2003, I had a terrible experience in Cancun. I was lodging at another resort, had a bad time with locals, and swore Cancun off (so I thought). After many recommendations, I booked 5 days at Le Blanc, and my only regret is that I didn't stay longer. Don't be misled, the fit and finish of the facilities isn't Vegas level, and I'm afraid they might have an addiction to painting (everything has multiple coats and the occasional drip), but holy smokes, the staff. The staff are incredible. Each floor has a butler, and he will unpack your suitcase upon check in, pack it upon departure, take care of evening aromatherapy for the room, fill your jacuzzi tub at a time you specify, and pretty much handle everything you could ever want. Be warned, there is a duality in concierge service, and you will most likely get asked to visit with a representative under the guise of "Palace Concierge". After realizing what was going down, I halted the conversation and moved along. The odd part is that I kind of wish I had gone to the presentation for their "timeshare" after hearing so many of the other guests that participate and all had glowing reviews. (I realize that's kind of a biased sample, but oh well.).
If you're offended by the mere thought of being offered a "presentation", just don't go to the three desks to the right of the main concierge.
One more thing. Don't get the lobster.
I say all of this so that you can have the perfect experience. Go, please go! It's great!
