I booked this because the bungalow had a balcony with unobstructed views of the beach/ocean… When we arrived they wanted to move us because the property beside them was having an event… Listen,Tulum is known for its EDM music scene and nightlife so I can’t complain. We asked to see both rooms and they were more than willing! We chose the room they had wanted to move us to and it was perfect! Little of an obstructed view but at the same time it really was simply amazing and we decided to book an extra night before we decided on dinner that night! Let’s talk food… Tamarindo/Pasha were great although they didn’t look like much on the walk by. Tamarindo had a slightly better breakfast offering than the new cafe on the beach at the hotel but only slightly. Plenty of Michelin rated restaurants within walking distance and priced similar to/slightly less than “fine” dining in the US. The staff was amazing! They were always available but at the same time they weren’t over your shoulder! My only “dig” on this place is that it could use a little upkeep. It is by no means falling apart or “gross” but some of the thatch roofs had tarps to prevent leaks that really just should be repaired/replaced… Boho chic outdoor furniture on pool deck that should just be thrown out… Given the jungle setting the tarps were almost unnoticeable but I’m that guy! We will… not would, stay here next time we are in Tulum and it was a bargain at their current rates!
