Airport (TQO) 9.2/10 Wonderful! (366 reviews) The room was beautiful, clean and spacious. There were a few issues such as the shower leaked out of the glass door, there was a leak under the sink onto the floor(which was repaired right away), and they had to change out the room safe as it would not work(which they did immediately). The staff is wonderful from the concierge to the bartenders. Most spoke English and were very willing to help with excursions and transportation. The parking lot is very small and you need to leave your car keys with the valet, as cars are frequently moved around to allow guests to come and go. The pool is the size of a large Jacuzzi without the Jets, but our room had a small pool on the balcony. Neither pool is large enough for swimming laps. The beach is very small, the water is warm, but there is lots of seaweed which detracts from swimming. There are 3 “restaurants” only one of which is run by the hotel. The other 2 are run by outside vendors. The sushi bar was good but there were cobwebs in the ceiling above where the food is prepped and cooked. One night we waited 45 minutes for dinner and we were the only ones there. The gym is VERY small and weights were probably 30 yrs old. The sauna and steam room were nice. There is a billiard room above the lobby with poor lighting, so you need to use during the day. There is a vacant property on one side of the hotel where we noticed a few people “camping” under a tarp with an air mattress and hammock. They did not disturb us.
