At this price point, I expect a baseline of good service. Front desk/bell service were good. The beach service was terrible and our bill was overcharged every day. Towel and drinks service was very slow. The breakfast service is also very slow and we have to ask multiple times to get anything. I did a workout at their yoga shala and the yoga mats weren’t cleaned in between classes (imagine the sweat in an outdoor humid environment on top of exercising). There were dirty glasses at the water station (of the yoga shala). Towels aren’t provided. The instructor was 15 min late, so the class had to be cut short. None of the equipment were cleaned between classes like the yoga blocks. That is unsanitary in any environment, let alone during a pandemic in a hot/humid outdoor space where people are profusely sweating/working out. I had a 2BD/2bath suite. One shower was in the same room as the toilet and that space looked worst than a prison cell. The other shower head pointed beyond the shower space, so it flooded the bathroom every time I showered. There’s no counter space in the bathrooms. There is nearly zero light in the second bedroom. The AC never got cold/to the temperature we set it. A very disappointing and repulsive experience for having paid nearly $1,000 a night. If it was a $200/night hotel I wouldn’t be making these observations, but at this price point, there is a standard of service and comfort that did not exist. It’s also far from everything and taxis are $20/way.
