We ended our four week tour of the USA with Cancun. First time there and first time at an all inclusive adults only hotel. Everything was exceptional, from the time we arrived and were shown around, to our butler Hugo and the in room service provided.
The pools were fantastic with again exceptional service provided all day.
The restaurants were world class and it really was a wonderful experience and well worth the money.
We will be back.
Excellent experience overall but very loud at night if you are on the Hardrock side of the hotel.
There are numerous events, wedding receptions, etc, that have loud music. Friends of ours stayed
on the other side of the hotel and didn't hear anything. Hallways are loud too.
Hotel rooms are pretty awesome. Large, clean and in good condition. Over all this hotel is pretty good and right on the beach. You are positioned at the end of the hotel zone, so to head into the entertainment area you have to catch a bus or taxis, so if you want to go out every night this hotel is most probably not for you.
Being all inclusive the selection of food and drinks was really good, not all buffets - really nice al la carte Italian & Thai restaurant. This hotel appears to be smaller & more boutique than other hotels on strip, great pools and plenty of sun lounges.
We had a problem on our first night with the neighbouring guest room partying til 4am in the morning. The noise was extremely loud. We contacted hotel staff several times that night & the problem was not rectified. We didn't get any sleep and we had to speak to management the next morning for a room change. They did change our rooms but didnt seem to care about the problem on the night. We literally called reception four or five times from 2am to 4am but they were not interested.
Don't just go here because of the resort credits. We had $1500 in resort credits but couldnt use it all. The credits can only be used on certain tours and other services such as spa services have a limit set. You also have to pay the taxes (in cash or credit card) on whatever you spend your credits on.
Overall the hotel is good, however we experienced an issue as described and it seemed that hotel staff did not really care.
Our stay was absolutely fantastic! The staff was very receptive to my wife and I request. They were all very courtious and polite. My wife is a native Spanish speaker and I can get by. Enough of the staff speaks English so there is not an issue there. The food was great and the receiptionist and director are very personable. Miguel and his staff in the restaurants are professional and warm and inviting. I would definitely come back.
First timers. Very nice and friendly staff. Food was good (it was kind of more American than mexican) the drinks were great and not watered down. Very relaxing, not really a party hotel. Overall great experience and we would stay there again
The Cancun Hotel Zone rests on a slit of land bound by a lagoon and the turquoise waters of the Caribbean Sea. Sunseekers crowd the white-sand beaches. At night, the action moves to the restaurants, clubs, and bars that line Boulevard Kukulcán, the area’s main artery. This road passes by the El Rey ruins, believed to be a king’s tomb.
