"Amazing resort , great size. We just got the standard rooms, such a great size! The food was delicious, love all the variety of food and cocktails. Very pleased. Highly recommend! My husband is celiac , he had a good variety of food options! Would like more food options at the pool bar and the other outdoor restaurants, they didn’t have any GF options , which was very disappointing. Would have been nice to have other alcoholic beverage options in our mini bar fridge , only beer and pop. My husband can’t have beer. We called front desk but no one got back to us. Spa facility was beautiful, we had a great couples massage. Each for 60 min, wish we did 90 instead! One of the nicest spas I’ve been to at an all inclusive. The staff are great! Would like to give a shout out to a few people that made our trip very memorable : Moises( not sure if spelling is correct) at the pool bar , he kept the drinking flowing all day at the pool! He made the drinks himself and delivered them, non stop! Very impressed! Memo bell boy was great, he welcomed us and brought our luggage’s to the room. He gave a a tour of the hotel and a quick run down of the shows. He had such great energy! Edgar and Adrian at the main floor lobby bar were, ask for the Adrian gin cocktail , it’s dangerously delicious. "

"Excellence Riviera Cancun is a spectacular property! Beautiful rooms, activities are tons of fun, swim up bar definite must! The restaurants are far better than any other resort I’ve been to in the area. No need to make reservations, you aren’t limited on what you can order on the menus. Chez Isabella, French-top notch food and service! The Grill, steakhouse, Lobster House-grilled lobster is wonderful. Make sure to catch Agave when they serve their special very authentic menu for the week-I think it’s on Wednesdays. Off the hook! Big shout out to Pablo at the Terrace Bar-he made our stay extra fun! If you’re going in the summer-the seaweed problem is gross! Excellence is one of the few resorts that keeps their beach clean but the smell and murkiness of the water due to the overgrowth of seaweed-no one really uses the beach in the summer. This is a problem all over riviera Maya coast in the summer, except for Isla Mujares. Excellence Riviera Cancún is a superb resort!! "

"Really enjoyed my stay here. I booked a swim out room, and thankful I did. Was nice waking up every morning and having the ability to jump right into the pool. Room itself was very spacious. Bed was comfortable, and the furniture was simple, but worked. Didn't feel trendy or dated. I dined at the 2 of the restaurants and did the buffet. I've read a lot of complaints about the food, and honestly, nothing I had was bad. On the same note, nothing also really stood out. I used the room service feature, and the wait time was about 45 minutes, so please keep that in mind if you are famished. Staff were professional and courteous. I went in the season of sea weed, so the beach was not accessible (I travel to Mexico often, so this is not a surprise to me. Please research when this happens so you are not caught off guard by it). I have only 2 minor complaints. The first, is I am an early riser. So I had to wait till about 730/0800 to get my swim time in as they were doing the maintenance on the pools (not dinging them for this, as this is very much a resort that has an active night life). The second is the remoteness of this location. My excursions that I booked, I was in the cab/vans a lot due to being the first one being picked up (e.g. I booked a Chichen Itza tour, and left at 0700, and got back at 2330). So if you plan to do any long excursions, look at spending the extra money and do it exclusive). I had a lot of fun and would stay here again."
