Cleveland hotels

Generally excellent but on a few occasions once sat down in a restaurant we seemed to disappear and had to grab people to get drinks, menus etc.

all good no major problems quite warm as you go upstairs

The pub had a nice atmosphere and good food. The staff was helpful. The room was spacious and clean. A large car park was available at no cost.

Very comfortable hotel, lovely food - with excellent choices - and very friendly and helpful staff.

Owners, due to change shortly, went the extra mile to ensure a pleasant stay was had. Food and service was quick and efficient. Nothing was to much trouble.

Ok hotel room was small and crampt Outside ground needs improving as a bit stark and grim Inside a lot better

Last minute booking. Quiet at end of season. Ideal for those with a car. Less so for those without though plenty of Buses and Taxis at nearby Hartlepool Station. Local station also but infrequent services. This is a historic but old (in age) hotel so NOT really suitable for those who have difficulty in climbing stairs, though I'm sure that the friendly staff would help if need be. Within easy reach of Middlesbrough and Hartlepool football clubs and DURHAM TEES VALLEY AIRPORT ( relatively few planes so not a ' noise' problem)

In Hartlepool for one night (Saturday) to attend a family Christening. Plenty of parking available but could hear very loud music coming from a wedding party downstairs. We couldn't hear any of it from our very spacious room on the 2nd floor. Very clean & comfortable room with en-suite bathroom. The staff at the hotel are all friendly & professional. We had a slight problem when checking in as the system said 'room only' -luckily we had printed off the Expedia booking confirmation that said breakfast included so they accepted that. The breakfast choice was excellent & served in a lovely dining room. Unfortunately the cooked part of it was not good -I think it was ready at 7a.m. (apart from the eggs) and we ate at 9 so it was overcooked & nearly inedible. If they can find a chef who can cook a good breakfast this would be an excellent place to stay.

Stayed there twice now , ideal location for our needs.
