Had an enjoyable weekend even if we found the A19 more often than we wanted to. Staff were helpful & friendly & the breakfast was adequate, if short on toast as they had run out of bread.
Very friendly staff and less than a minute to the seaside. Lovely spacious room overlooking the sea front. Breakfast was great with plenty of choice and service was excellent. Would definitely stay here again.
We stayed two nights and I have to say all though an ageing hotel I was pleasantly surprised our room was enormous.Clean and tidy yes and a nice size bathroom.We had to borrow a fan from the reception as the room was stifling in very unusual UK heat of 30 degrees.No air con so very stifling.Staff ...
Situated on the A19 on the outskirts of County Durham this hotel is excellent for touring the area. I used the Windmill "again" to stay over after watching England play football at Sunderland. Great hotel really laid back top staff nice restaurant and overall very clean. And i will use it again.
