The property was located in a quiet picturesque setting, greeted and supported very professionally by the owner. A very spacious, well appointed property. Fantastic location a mere 5 minute drive to Newcastle airport, yet off the flight path so slept perfectly.

This was a fantastic property; well appointed with modern, high-end furnishings and a very comfortable bed. The proprietor, Marc, was very welcoming and provided the best breakfast we had during our two week holiday of motoring around the UK. My wife and I couldn’t recommend this place more!

I loved it, only a few rooms so BOOK IT NOW. Owner (Marc) was amazing. Parking is safe and secure behind locked electric gates in front of the property. Breakfast lovely and bought to your room. Apartment consisted of bedroom with smart tv, lounge with coffee machine , Xbox, sofa and dining area plus a lush bathroom with huge walk-in shower. No more premier inns for me. Definitely stay again. Thanks Marc

A very nice place to be

This was the perfect stay for me, I travel a lot for work solo, and this place was very quiet, comfortable and very secure with electric gates! you have a Xbox if that's your thing, smart TV, Netflix and Prime, fresh mike for your tea and coffee, Bluetooth speaker, iron, heating at your control and a fan for those summer days! There is a nice little pub called the white swan down the road that's looks small from the outside, however walk into the restaurant and my first thought was tardis.. This place is home cooked food, and pretty big portions! Oh on the walk back I caught this little fella, see picture... All in all, a very nice place to be, would definitely return

We just undertook a month long trip of the UK and this was absolutely one of our favorite places we stayed. Marc the host has created a lovely room and the bathroom is as pleasant as a 5 star luxury hotel. Marc is also very responsive and helpful. All in all a great experience - don't delay book this unique property and enjoy a peaceful, relaxing nights rest.

Wonderful stay

We had a wonderful family stay at Hemples Lodge. The room was stylish, clean, and big enough for the four of us, with two smart TVs keeping the kids happy when we weren't out and about. Really lovely breakfast and Marc was a great host.

Everything about this place was perfect for us. Distant enough to be quiet and peaceful but close enough for great places to eat and easy to get to. Clean, smart, comfortable. A much better choice that your average hotel room, with much more space and comfort. Bed was comfy, breakfast delicious and delivered bang on time. Host was attentive and responsive but not intrusive. Would absolutely recommend and will book again.

Lovely getaway outside Newcastle.

Amazing place. Marc is a fantastic host. Breakfast was superb. The only downside was that previous guests had smoked in the room and even though Marc had done a deep clean, it still smelled. Not the owner’s fault though - just inconsiderate guests!

Fabulous lodge

We had a great stay at this fabulous lodge, very comfortable, our host could not have been more welcoming, very modern bathroom with powerful shower and sunken bath, we paid £10 for breakfast, which was a very generous serving and delicious - well worth the money. Highly recommended
