"No problems with anything. Yes, we knew about the breakfast bag - no complaints there. But trying to sleep when the only light for the bathroom reflects through the mirror onto the bed. Fit a dimmer switch, or move the mirror onto the opposite side by the bathroom door - or, fit one of those small blue lights in the bathroom, which allows you to see at night without disturbing anyone else in the hotel room."

"We were there for a family gathering. The reeceptionist was warm and welcoming and very helpful. We had a meal and all the front of house were lovely, Daniella was particularly good. Her service was with a big smile, nothing was too much trouble and our food and drinks were perfect. There was a football team there that evening yet somehow everyone managed to give a smooth and timely service. Excellent stay . "The staff at the hotel were very welcoming, friendly and our dog loved the treat they provided! The room was a decent size, clean and comfortable. Despite staying on a Friday night in a busy area, it was quiet and we got a good night's rest. Breakfast is disappointing for vegans as it's very limited. The chairs used at breakfast were pretty grim and covered in stains. The car park is a decent size - we'd recommend booking via the app to guarantee a space - though the pricing seems inconsistent."

Pocket Guide: 3 Stars Hotels in Liverpool

Liverpool is a vibrant city in the North-West of England, attracting visitors throughout the year. People come here for the music scene, the culture, the shopping and the nightlife - and if you're looking for affordable three-star accommodation, you'll find plenty on offer. Whether you prefer to stay in an independent hotel close to Liverpool ONE or a chain hotel situated near Albert Dock, there's something to suit your tastes and budget.

Affordable Hotels Close to Iconic Attractions in Liverpool

The majority of three-star hotels in Liverpool are generally situated within easy walking distance of the city's main attractions, and most offer free parking, great for families travelling with younger children. Other amenities on offer include free cribs or infant beds on request, complimentary breakfast (some hotels may charge for breakfast) and laundry facilities. Chain hotels have 24-hour business centres and meeting rooms available for hire, so if you're here on business, you'll be well catered for.

Hotels near Liverpool's Sights and Shops

Liverpool is renowned as a superb shopping destination, so if you fancy picking up some Scouse bargains, make sure you bring your credit card! With most hotels in the city centre within walking distance of the main shopping areas, it's easy to spend a whole day indulging in a little retail therapy. Liverpool ONE encompasses four shopping areas, with everything from popular department stores to designer boutiques, and plenty of options for relaxed family dining. For designer labels, the Metquarter centre in Whitechapel is the place to be, while if you're looking for vintage stores and independent shops, Bold Street has been rated by Lonely Planet as one of the best shopping streets in the UK - and it's easy to see why.

After all that shopping, you might want to take in some of the city's sights and attractions. Don't miss Liverpool's many museums and galleries (most of which offer free entry) including the Tate Liverpool and the Merseyside Maritime Museum. The Albert Dock area is home to the The Beatles Story Exhibition, where you can find out more about the Fab Four, or even take a Magical Mystery tour to locations made famous by the band such as Strawberry Fields and Penny Lane. Another must-see attraction is Liverpool Cathedral; it's the largest cathedral in the UK and you can enjoy spectacular views from the tower, 100 metres above the ground - don't forget your camera!

Family-Friendly Amenities at Liverpool's 3 Star Hotels

Liverpool's three-star hotels offer outstanding amenities, whether you're here for the weekend with friends, enjoying a romantic break or on a family holiday. Free WiFi is on offer at most hotels, so you can stay connected and share those holiday snapshots on social media, whilst extras such as laundry facilities and luggage storage are available at larger chain hotels. Most hotels offer guest room amenities such as tea/coffee makers and flat-screen TVs, to ensure you enjoy a comfortable stay. You'll also find that larger hotels have facilities for business guests such as a business centre and meeting rooms, plus a 24-hour reception.
