We had a small problem on the first night with a strong smell of sewage in the room but the hotel staff moved us to an up graded room for thr rest of our stay
Very comfortable room and bed. Shower could have been better. spa was ok but stairs up and down not easy. Food brilliant especially the eton mess dessert. Staff mostly friendly - one or two miserable at breakfast time. Altogether a very pleasant stay.
I thought it was expensive for what it was £214 for one night in a twin room. I expected something more fabulously luxurious. I was galled to see that the price went down so if I’d waited longer the room would have been cheaper.
Very comfortable, quiet room, good bed. Very nice staff. Great location. I was pleasantly surprised by the Doubletree.
On our initial arrival the reception member of staff was not very welcoming. In addition they insisted that a couple travelling with us that I had booked a room for as part of the same booking were shown as room only. They offered an upgrade immediately. It was not until they were shown a copy of ...
Location was fantastic, right next door to subway connection, stone's throw from riverfront and easy walking distance around the city. Historic hotel setting, qirky and interesting place to stay
Hotel in good location, close to town and the seafront. Easy access, and parking on the road. Hotel parking inadequate and not free.
Friendly staff, clean hotel. The wedding party in the evening was noisy and the music resonated in our room but overall we can’t complain.
The staff are the most wonderful, helpful and caring people I have met. I have travelled and stayed in places world wide, and without doubt this has been the best experience I have had. The staff make the hotel.
The city of Liverpool is a lively place, but it can also be an excellent place to head for a relaxing city break. Packed with fascinating historical attractions and exquisite places to eat and drink, the city invites visitors to take it all in at their own pace. The real secret behind Liverpool's popularity as a chilled out holiday destination lies in the city's selection of fine spa hotels.
In times gone by, hotels needed little more than a swimming pool to call themselves a spa hotel. Nowadays, both standards and technology have developed far beyond that point. Spa hotels in Liverpool promise extraordinary facilities and unprecedented levels of relaxation.
The DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel and Spa indicates how far things have come. The hotel's state of the art spa features everything from a hydrotherapy pool to numerous beauty treatment rooms, offering massages, face masks and all manner of therapies. Outside the spa, the hotel is finished to an impressively high standard, combining traditional and modern aesthetics perfectly.
Spa holidays are supposed to be about relaxation, and some visitors might find the hustle and bustle of central Liverpool a bit much. Those visitors can make the short hop across the River Mersey to the famous peninsula of the Wirral.
The Village Hotel is an affordable spa hotel, just seconds from the banks of the Mersey. Guests can enjoy a spa tub and sauna, as well as free WiFi throughout and an impressive business centre.
If there's anything more luxurious than a spa hotel, it's a spa hotel with its very own golf course. The Formby Hall Golf Resort and Spa is located a short distance to the north of Liverpool, part of the way to Southport. The stunning four-star hotel boasts two golf courses - an 18-hole and a 9-hole.
Checking into the hotel's elegant spa after a long day's golfing is the perfect way to help your body recover, and to prepare yourself for yet another day on the fairway. As you'd expect from this luxurious hotel, the food at Formby Hall is also impeccable.
