Lovely large room, The public areas were also spacious and although pastiche in style very comfortable and calm. The hotel is not easy to find particularly in the dark. Sign at the entrance to the grounds of the hotel was not illuminated after dark and easily missed.

Worst experience ever at any hotel we have stayed at. Booked 3 rooms and arrived after 4pm and no rooms were ready so we had to wait in the bar and had to return the lagers which were flat and tasted aweful, 1st room ready after 5pm which we had 6 people having to get changed ready for a concert we were going to due to other rooms not being ready. Before we left for the concert around 6pm another room was ready but we’re told we still had to wait for the 3rd which we decided we would leave luggage in first room and pick up when we returned from concert. We spent a couple of hours in the bar which had continuously long queues of around 10 to 12 people waiting as only 2 (slow) staff on although the seating area was not busy at all so easy to find seating. We returned to collect baggage from room 1 around 12:30 as we were all tired and went to our dimly lit rooms which looked like concentration camps and got some sleep. In the morning we got to look at our rooms in the light and had we have seen them in that light would not have stayed in them. They were filthy with ripped furniture and curtains hairs in beds and blood on carpet and ants in one bathroom and smells were appallingly damp. Due to queuing 20minutes queueing for breakfast and being told there were no tables as they were shutting doors at around 9:45 on a Sunday due to a wedding taking priority we decided we weren’t going to have it although we had paid for it. Asked to speak to MGR but not in awaiting call.DO NOT USE

First stay here. Very nice hotel Spacious rooms Check in/out good Car park!! Guests should not have to pay to stay here, if this car park is privately owned , guests should be exempt and the hotel should have ensured this Otherwise okay
