The Tower Hotel, by Thistle

10/10 Excellent

"Location. Is excellent and restaurants near by"

Marlin Waterloo

8/10 Good

"The location is the best thing about the property. It is 5-10 min walk away from the underground station and has many subway lines that you can take. The property is modern and next to a Pret for a quick coffee in the morning and a short walk to many nice restaurants. When we arrived, check in was fast but when we got to our room, I was disappointed that I did not get the king bedroom that I reserved. Upon speaking with the front desk, I was told that the king beds in London are smaller than in other countries. I am from Canada and saw the photos, the king size bed was huge. I insisted that there was an error made and was eventually told that I was 'upgraded' to a room with a kitchenette but a smaller bed. Sorry, that is hardly an upgrade. If I wanted a kitchen, I would have booked that room. You should have asked me before making the change. No apologies from anyone for the error. Not impressed. We were rushed to get changed for a show and we lost 30 min from this error. Rooms are cleaned every second day so with our three night stay, we didn't mind. Only problem was the cleaner left a dirty rag on the night table. I've stayed all over the world in many different hotels and this has never happened. Lastly, every morning at 9am, someone knocked on our door. First morning, they had to change the shower head due to mold. Second day, the cleaner knocked. Bed wasn't bad but the pillows were standard pillows for a king bed. Overall, it was okay but I may not stay here again."

STG Hotel London Oxford Street

8/10 Good

"Amazing location, on the shower box there was no place to put anything. ( soap for example ) the elevators most of the time very crowded. I got an early check in. But when it was check in time. It had huge lines, TV remote wasn’t working properly. Only turnê on and off. Couldn’t change channel, breakfast was good. But always the same thing. Best part is location."

Bob W London Hyde Park

10/10 Excellent

"We had a wonderful stay at Bob W Hyde Park and were very pleased with the overall experience. The hotel was comfortable, clean and welcoming. There was a minor issue during our stay, but what really impressed us was how quickly and professionally the hotel handled it. The staff responded immediately and resolved the matter in a very satisfactory manner. Their prompt and attentive approach made a real difference and showed how much they care about their guests. We would be happy to stay here again. Highly recommended!!"

When is the best time to go to Norland?

The best time to visit Norland is during the late spring and summer months, from May to September, when the weather is generally at its finest.

During this period, you'll experience longer daylight hours and milder temperatures, making it ideal for exploring the rolling hills and picturesque villages of Norland. May and June offer the beauty of spring flowers in full bloom and fewer crowds, while July and August provide the warmest weather, superb for outdoor activities like hiking and enjoying the local country shows. September is also a lovely time, with the beginning of autumn colours and still pleasant temperatures.

For those looking to enjoy Norland's outdoor attractions, such as walking the Pennine Way or visiting the numerous historic estates and gardens, the summer months are particularly well-suited. The local market towns often host festivals and events during this time, adding to the experience.

If you prefer a quieter trip and don't mind cooler temperatures, late April or early October can also be rewarding.
