A nightmare from start to finish. We stayed for our anniversary, and requested an iron, the iron spewed hot yellow liquid all over my other half’s pristine white shirt. It was his most expensive shirt so he started scrubbing it in the sink while I went downstairs to see if they could get the stains out right away and see what they could do.
They couldn't do anything! Not even give us some soap for it. To make matters worse, we lost our reservation, which I was really looking forward and were charged £120 for a no-show fee.
The hotel offered to refund our stay which would partly cover the no show fee.
We tried to make the best of the remainder of our trip, a few days after i came back, the refund wasn’t in my account, a week went by, I called, they said it was on the way.
Another week went by, I messaged them again on Expedia, they didn’t respond.
I chased again a week later.
I tried to call Expedia and the wait time was 1 HOUR! The automated support kept saying it could not find a refund for this itinerary number and that it, it went in circles.
Even after such a terrible experience they still made it horrible. I have never in my life experienced service like this in my years of staying at hotels.
