Can not fault this Hotel, by nature I am allegedly grumpy. The rooms, staff etc all quality. I have nothing to grumble about. I thought for a moment when I spotted a rainfall shower which in many hotels just dribble, but it was a proper shower lots of water.
Room service pricey but its London and everything is pricey.
We were only in London to vacation for 2 days, so we wanted to stay somewhere that we could easily navigate everything we wanted to do from, wasn't super pricey and was modern and cozy - all of which exceeded our expectations.
The hotel was less than a 5 minute walk from the underground station, which we found very easy to use and navigate. We planned to take a taxi to several locations but the tube was so clean and convenient, we didn't need to. It's also directly across the park from Buckingham Palace - less than a 10 minute walk.
The area didn't seem overly touristy and we were able to quickly walk to several restaurants as well.
The room was larger than I expected, with a basic room including a small sitting area (couch, coffee table, TV), large bed, vanity/desk and a nicely appointed bathroom, which was also roomier than I expected.
The staff was helpful with directions. We received an hour of complimentary wifi (paid service, after the hour), internet usage at the business center at no cost and we were able to check in and go to our room before the "official" check in time of 3 PM (we arrived around 1:30).
I couldn't have been more pleased with this hotel and would absolutely recommend and stay again for my next visit to London!
Famous for its hotels, Mayfair holds London's most expensive homes and, on Bond Street, its most expensive shops. But the tucked-away pubs, restaurants, and shops of atmospheric Shepherd Market offer affordable local colour, too. Sandwiched between several main roads, Marylebone has a village atmosphere and a charming High Street. Nearby attractions include Madame Tussaud's and the Georgian splendours of Regent's Park, including London Zoo.
