A one night stay but very comfortable and staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was very nice too. Room was comfortable although the tap labels were switched so ran a cold bath initially. (easily sorted)
The entry experience from the moment we checked in to the time we checked out was amazing, with the excretion of one unfriendly encounter with a member of staff at the popular/famous Polo Bar. The experience with this member of staff made for an unpleasant time during breakfast at the bar. However, we didn't allow this to ruin the rest of our stay as everyone from the door men/women to the concierge and room service staff were very very pleasant, coupled with the location and the hotel itself made for a most memorable experience. Would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again myself. The manger of the hotel Simon was very accommodating and a pleasure to speak with.
Europe, including the UK, remains a hard place to find hotel rooms and beds big enough to accommodate families. The Mayfair, with spacious rooms and two queen-sized beds, does just that, and does so very well. We stayed there before and after a side trip to Paris, and have only good things to say about each visit. Fast check-in, highly professional and friendly staff, spotless rooms - and even a Sainsbury's across the street for when the snacking urge strikes. All that, and you can't beat the location, just off Piccadilly, steps to the Ritz,Tube nearby, as well as lovely Green Park.
Every aspect of our stay was great. The car sent by the hotel to pick us up (Baz was the driver) and to drop us off at the Airport was wonderful. The rooms are excellent, the maid service is very prompt, and good. The lobby is good, and the hotel staff very accomodating. The concierge(s) were easily accessed, and gave us great advice.

Famous for its hotels, Mayfair holds London's most expensive homes and, on Bond Street, its most expensive shops. But the tucked-away pubs, restaurants, and shops of atmospheric Shepherd Market offer affordable local colour, too. Sandwiched between several main roads, Marylebone has a village atmosphere and a charming High Street. Nearby attractions include Madame Tussaud's and the Georgian splendours of Regent's Park, including London Zoo.
