" nice hotel well placed for London shops/theatres"
Our second visit to The Millenium Mayfair was pleasant and enabled us to go to a theatre
and stayover as we can't get home after theatres finish. Only problem was room smelled of smoke(and it is
a non smoking hotel) and there was insufficient coffee and sugar in the room and no saucers.
A small but comfortable hotel tucked away in a great London neighborhood. Tolerate the small rooms for the lively restaurants and bars just 1 block away. London Pubs, French Bistro, Sushi, Seafood, Italian, Middle eastern cuisine all right outside your in a neighborhood with little traffic yet close to many major tourist spots.
Excellent high quality hotel right on the edge of Park Lane and Hyde Park. Unfortunately this hotel is having major renovations and the reception area is very restricted at the moment, so quite tight for getting past when others are checking in and only one lift, so long waits at times, hence the average score on hotel facilities. The renovations did not affect the room which was excellent (but we did stay at a weekend and there didn't seem to be anyone working on them).
For a special weekend away I would probably come back, but the renovation work did affect the overall impression of this high quality hotel.
Great hotel in a great location - it was great to be upgraded - although we subsequently realised that our room was above the delivery area and we were woken early every morning with vans etc, this being the city noise is expected but not that early.
In the very heart of Mayfair, this privately owned, purpose-built luxury hotel suits business and leisure travelers equally …More
We had a very enjoyable stay at Fleming's Hotel prior to our son's wedding in Cambridge. The room was small but very comfortable and the staff was wonderful. The location could not have been better for shopping, restaurants and attractions.

A polished and stylish retreat in the heart of mayfair. An eclectic mix of traditional elegance and contemporary glamour …More
Their ideally located. It is walking distance to many restaurants and cafe. The "underground tube system" is two blocks away. Theirs front desk staff, concierge, and doorman were all very courteous to us. There was a small leak above our shower and the front desk manager personally gave us another room. The gym is brand new (remodeled) and nicely done. The spa is really REALLY something (much better than the pictures).
The Mayfair has style. It is not your standard four walls, a bed, and carpeted room. If you tour the grand buildings like Parliament, Windsor Castle, Buckingham Palace, you get a feel of how royalty lived in their days, At the end of the day, coming home to the Mayfair, a feeling of euphoria is extended to you as you are treated as royalty.
Famous for its hotels, Mayfair holds London's most expensive homes and, on Bond Street, its most expensive shops. But the tucked-away pubs, restaurants, and shops of atmospheric Shepherd Market offer affordable local colour, too. Sandwiched between several main roads, Marylebone has a village atmosphere and a charming High Street. Nearby attractions include Madame Tussaud's and the Georgian splendours of Regent's Park, including London Zoo.
