"I think the Bailey's hotel is a bit of a mixed bag. The location was great however the rooms did not seem at all soundproofed and my friend and I were awakened by noises more than once. It was adequate but I'm not sure I would stay at this hotel again. "

"Excellent & friendly staff. Superb location to Gloucester St tube station. Plenty of restaurants, grocery, etc nearby. The floor we stayed on had a strong mildew smell, however. Our room was clean, but the bathroom needed better cleaning, in terms of mold on grout/caulk area. Overall, it's a nice, functional and convenient place to stay. Could it be better? Sure. However, I'd recommend the hotel. "

"Enjoyed our stay here! When we came to check in was told that they only had basement rooms available unless we wanted to wait - when looking for hotel rooms I purposely didn’t book some hotels as they were windowless rooms so opted to wait. The lady behind the desk seemed a bit dismissive and over her shift, she told us to sit and wait and would let us know when our room was ready. She left her shift and did handover and then I went to check with the man who was now on the desk and he didn’t know we were waiting but that was all sorted and the rest of the stay was good! Was a bit nervous after that first interaction Would recommend this hotel, nice and peaceful - bathroom was slightly dated but functional and room was nice, bed was comfortable."

"Truly average hotel. Rooms small and a little worn . Bathrooms have been refurbished. Breakfast okay and of reasonable value if you book ahead. Cleaning average and somewhat enthusiastic with occasional bangs on the door at 8 am in the morning which are a little overzealous My biggest complaint relates to the gym - this is not located in the hotel but in a separate structure about 50m away and is subcontracted to a separate entity They do not allow access to anyone under the age of 16 and their regulations compel one to fill out registration forms on a daily basis including health and safety documentation - this takes about five minutes to do. The gym is equipped with old life fitness equipment about 15 to 20 years old and some technogym treadmills and cross trainers It will be well below the standard that you would see in the average Hilton or similar level brand hotel anywhere in the English speaking world / in my opinion it would not be a suitable hotel for someone who is travelling with a teenager who wanted to go to the gym or indeed who had a desire to visit the gym in the evenings as the gym is closed from 4 o’clock on Saturdays and Sundays Overall this hotel is adequate but the gym arrangement is subpar and you could well do better elsewhere."
