"The good points were that the staff were nice, the reception desk, foyer bar, and breakfast were very thorough, and that breakfast was included. Sadly, the overall experience was just 'okay', which was disappointing for a hotel of this supposed calibre. The room was small, the 'amenities' that I paid £20 for was a 1-night upgrade because the two nights we'd booked were on different rates. I would struggle to know what the upgraded amenities were: no coffee machine, only basic shampoo and body wash, only one towel for 2 of us, and only one mug. We had to ask for more pillows, and the room attendant badgered us to not clean the room overnight three times. I can't say I would rush to recommend this to others, even though it's a nice place in a great location. "

"I had a small double for 1 person costing £189 for 1 night . so not much of a cheap option . The room was small as expected. The bathroom was unacceptable small if i had been any larger would not have been able to get in shower or Use the toilet!!!! Im Average build !! These rooms are not cheap enough … very good location. The staff were all extremely friendly and welcoming. Worth a visit but don't book the small double if your over 11 stone 😳"

Staff in the first shift were very helpful and efficient, however in the second shift, we found them less knowledgeable or willing to help. "
