Bright penthouse apartment 125 sqm + 3 private terraces overlooking the Duomo, 5 + 1 beds. 50 meters from Piazza Duomo, 2nd floor (top), without lift. 55 comfortable steps. 3 bedrooms, all with air conditioning (2 double with AC + 1 single with air conditioning) + 1 single sofa bed in a double bedroom, 2 bathrooms with shower and windows, 3 private terraces with views. All bedrooms and bathrooms with mosquito nets and anti mosquito lamps.
The bedrooms are 1 double with 1 double bed or 2 single beds, 1 single room and 1 terrace room with 1 single sofa bed and 1 double bed (it is not possible to have 2 separate single beds). There are no sofa beds in the living room and this is not possible
Services: Wi-Fi without adsl limits, pocket wifi, Netflix, air conditioning in all bedrooms, 1 fan, heating, dishwasher, oven, washing machine (and soap), dryer, food processor, electric oven, microwave oven , moka, electric kettle, electric machine, iron and ironing board, toaster, LED satellite TV, espresso machine and American coffee machine, 3 terraces equipped with table, chairs, candles and sun loungers. Mosquito nets (there is no mosquito around the apartment because every winter there is pest control in this area). Welcome snack and 1 welcome bottle of wine, welcome orange juice or Coke and gas water. Welcome Nutella and jam. Welcome soap, body lotion and shampoo, 1 baby bed and 1 baby high chair are available and free on request.
Next to the apartment at 20 meters there is a garage where you can park your car for a fee at about 25 euros per night, you can ask on your arrival. Bus stop 10 meters from the apartment. Nearby: museums, central station, markets, shopping centers, tourist office, restaurants, pizzerias, banks, bicycle rental, post offices, pharmacies, bars and pubs, gyms, etc. All the services you like (chef on request, massages, tours etc.).

Beautiful, clean, great location

Mariana was outstanding in her communication with us. The apartment was clean and the beds were comfortable. The location was perfect for getting around. There were lots of great restaurants close by. The host was outstanding with recommendations for restaurants. I would highly recommend this place and would love to go back!

This apartment was perfect for our family of 4 adults. Excellent location and the view of the Duomo was amazing. The apartment was as advertised and had everything we needed. Beautiful spacious apartment in the middle of the best of Florence.

Grazie mille to Marianna..she helped us with reservations and taxis...could not have been more gracious. The apartment was gorgeous. Able to sleep in comfort with the AC even with days in the high 90's. Espresso in the morning and prosecco in the afternoon on the terrace was a joy. Would stay again in a heartbeat!

Beautiful apartment, exactly as described. A close walk to everything. Marianna bent over backwards to help us. Will stay here again. Really loved it. (There's a children's school sharing the square, can get raucous during the day. But bedrooms are extremely quiet if you need a nap.)

Fantastic

This property was exactly where we wanted to be in the heart of the city. We could walk to everything, shops, restaurants, sites etc. The room was large with 3 bedrooms and a separate space for the living room area with clothes washer and dryer. It was ideal and our hostess could not have been better. If I ever return to Florence, I want to stay here again!

Marianna was great - attention to detail, follow through and amazing restaurant recommendations. Also, great view of the duomo from all three terraces. Well worth the tri up the stairs once you arrive. Our four adults were very comfortable. As in many European properties, water heater is small so plan accordingly. I would highly recommend this property.

A great apartment and location. The view is spectacular from the balconies (of which there are three)! Marianna was a great host and very thorough in her communication for check in/out as well as recommendations for activities in Florence. The hoist we well appointed with everything you’ll need. The location was really great. The terraces were fabulous. Bathrooms were really nice. The stairs were a bit of a challenge since all of us who stayed were 62 years or older and there was no lift (which was noted on the VRBO site). Marianna was very hospitable and helpful on all inquiries. Would have rated it 5 star if I was 20 years younger. Great way to experience Florence!

The apartment is in a great location, and Marianna was extremely helpful; everything she recommended was spot on.The complimentary tour of Florence with Laura was amazing! The apartment is on the top floor, so be prepared to carry luggage up several flights of stairs. But the view is worth the climb!

Gorgeous, spacious, well appointed flat in the heart of Florence is a delight to stay in.

This flat is perfect for anyone who wants to spend time in Florence. Literally in the shadow of the Duomo, you are conveniently located near all the important sites that you will want to visit. Marianna is exceptionally helpful with any questions or problems you might have. Be sure to ask her for her recommendations where to eat. The one close to the flat is exceptionally good but requires reservations that you can make online. Air conditioning throughout the flat, three balconies from which to have coffee or wine and view the city, as well as a full kitchen makes this property ideal for anyone who wants to visit Florence while staying in comfort. Highly recommended.

Wonderful month in Florence!

The apartment was spacious, well-appointed and clean. A great space for two couples. We enjoyed the dining/seating area with adjoining deck for morning coffee and evening aperitivo. Plenty of patio and seating areas for all to be comfortable whether as a group or time alone. The air-conditioning was very welcome in the September heat! We were able to walk to all that Florence had to offer on both sides of the Arno and made several trips to the train station 20 minutes away for exploring out of the city. The parking garage a few doors down was convenient and reasonably priced when utilizing a car. A great home away from home! Thank you Marianna for your patience with our delay in leaving the apartment.

Views from the rooftop

This was a fun and enjoyable stay. The kitchen was well equipped and we were able to cook some nice meals and breakfast was lovely on the porch! We had two adults and two college aged kids and the apt was plenty big enough for us. There were quite a few steps, your on the roof like four floors but we managed. Just bring something up when you come back from touring or shopping. There were two bathrooms each with showers so bathing was easy. The laundry was easy to figure out and the drying wrack was great. We came up in the afternoon for quite from all the people in town had lunch and a rest before going back out. Great place would recommend if you can handle stairs with your luggage! But soo enjoyed the views and location!! Great place!

An amazing stay in Florence, Marianna, Thank You!

Florence is a city that will capture your attention in its stunning beauty, historic immersion of arts and antiquity, food and culture, diversity, and the people are friendly and generous. Our hostess owner/manager, Marianna provides a spacious, well-appointed and very comfortable residence that fully met our needs. The views from the apartment and the ease in traveling the city are remarkably convenient. We arrived at the end of high season which was still quite bustling, but had no trouble accessing everything we had hoped to see and do, and more. We walked everywhere except a bus trip out of the city, 7 miles, to the Florence United States cemetery, which is not to be missed for American tourists. We ate out and cooked in with a well appointed kitchen and dining area as well as outdoor deck seating to enjoy the wonderful weather. Airport Taxi transportation both directions was easy to manage, and Marianna was very generous in helping us in any way she could. This was an anniversary celebration trip of a lifetime for us, and we highly recommend it to other travelers.

Beautiful flat in Florence!

Myself and two longtime friends stayed in this flat. The first thing we noticed as we entered was how VERY CLEAN and well-appointed it was. We were quite pleased and appreciated this! Thank you Marianna! The flat was spacious, we each had our own bedroom; the kitchen had everything we needed. Marianna had a bottle of wine and other beverages for us and some yummy snacks to get started. The place has 3 terraces, but we found ourselves using the one off of the kitchen the most - coffee in the morning, a bite to eat, and enjoying a glass of wine and the view. We felt very safe here and it was quiet. Marianna was attentive but not intrusive. She checked in with us periodically to make sure we had what we needed. Upon request, she scheduled a taxi ride for us to the train station when it was time to leave. She also had a space for us to store our luggage after we checked out before our train ride back to Rome. There is no lift up to the flat. This was NOT an issue for us; for others it could be. This flat is well cared for and loved. We treated it like we would our own home. Would definitely recommend Marianna’s flat and would stay here again. Thank you Marianna!! We loved our stay!

Could not have dreamed for more

Every part of this VRBO stay was perfect! Here are some details: Host: Marianna was absolutely wonderful. She was efficient, timely, warm and welcoming. She gave excellent knowledgeable recommendations on several places to eat and even made the reservations for us - she knew several of the hosts personally and asked for particular tables in great spots. She helped us with additional travel plans including taxis, trains and directions. She thought of all of our needs and met them before we were even aware. She welcomed questions before you even got there! Beds: Very comfortable, warm and clean, with great mattresses (most comfortable of the 3 places we rented on our trip), new sheets/blankets/pillows. Loved the bedroom/loft upstairs with its own private deck. There are a total of 3 terraces - each with a great view. Lots of lighting, electrical outlets, and convenient dressers/closets for suitcases and clothes. Bathrooms: Every amenity was made available: Clean and well appointed. Lots of extra thick towels, TP, Kleenex, blowdryers, Shampoo/Conditioner/Lotion/handsoap. Back bathroom was large and plenty big enough for entire family with additional smaller bathroom in the front by living areas. Tip: if at first you get cold water, turn faucet off and wait 5 seconds, turn it back on. Kitchen: Very clean. Had every necessary tool and equipment including ice trays (yay!). Marianna left several snacks, treats and a great bottle of wine as a welcoming present! Had plenty of paper towel, hand towels, soap, all dishes/glasses/pots and pans. Easy to cook a meal here. Living Spaces: Loved the fact that there were several different places to hang out. Quiet individual places to read as well as cozy and comfortable couches accommodating at least 6. Felt very much at home here. Location: great central location to all the sites, great views, lots of places to eat and shop, safe neighborhood. There are 4 flights of stairs to get in as the listing says - our 74 year old Mother-in-law did well with it though! Loved our stay here in this house!

Rental location is ok. Property Manger was not

The rental is located very close to some of the most visited sites (5-10 minute walk). The unit itself is on the 3rd floor of a building with no elevator. The 3 bedrooms are all on the same side of the apartment and on top of each other. I only bring this up because it caused an issue with privacy among the other guest who were staying with us. We could hear every word the other couple was saying because the walls are paper thin. The unit itself isn't that bad. I would probably give the rental 3 stars if not for the rude service I received from property manager. The day after we arrived she messaged me to remind me of the need to dispose of our own garbage. No problem. Not what I am use to but not terribly inconvenient since garbage dumpsters are around the corner. My issue is her need to send me another message threatening me with a cleaning fee if we fail to throw away our trash. A cleaning fee was already included in my rental cost so I guess it was an additional cleaning fee. During check out she tried to say we caused damage while we ironed our clothes. The thing is we didn't use the iron. One of the other guest brought a clothes steamer so we used that instead cause it was easier. After checking out the property manager found the need to message me and complain about us leaving some trash when we left and that some lights were on when she arrived at the rental for the checkout. I do not contest that lights were left on and yea, I might have missed a small bag with trash in it. Not sure if that deserves a message telling you that you are not nice. We also had an issue with replacing a lost key. I admit I was careless and misplaced a set of keys. I assumed responsibility and asked that she take it out of the security deposit. She refused and said I had to pay her separately through VRBO or she would not release my security. I have been renting through VRBO for over 10 years. Never have I been treated so rudely by a property manager. she even sent me a message stating that I shouldn't review my stay since she did not wanna review me. I want any potential renters to know about my experience. Was my experience horrible ? Not at all but nobody wants to deal with rude service while on vacation. The rental isn't cheap I just wish the hospitality would have reflected the premium price charged
