Before arrival, we weren't warned about renovation work being carried out, not even by email. We were informed of this on arrival. We stayed two night's, and after the first night, the works started happening at SEVEN AM. We chose to give the hotel staff the benefit of doubt. After the second night (when we were due to check out) I complained to a member of staff at the concierge who insisted on gas lighting me and states the contrary until her colleague arrived to confirm that I was right. I wish I took her name to complain to NH hotel for the ridicule. Her colleague and her struggled to find a way to remedy our dissatisfaction, I suggested cancelling the tourist tax, i.e. they pay for it which they wouldn't. We were offered free parking but we didn't drive for this particular holiday. All we got was complimentary mini bar usage, so we raided it on check out. It was a slight compensation for the initial discomfort in a broken sleep. Would I stay again: yes, the buffet was fantastic and location for the hotel were phenomenal.
