"tastefully decorated hotel"
The hotel itself is very nice, has a nice big bar area that is nice when friends want to come see us at the hotel, the swimming pool is very large and clean. The hot tub was all boarded up though, and we were told it has been that way for the last 2 years. The beds are not very comfortable at all, but the rooms are a very nice size, and every time I've stayed there we always had a fridge and microwave. When we checked in on Nov 12, the girl at the desk was not very friendly, and she checked us into a room that was already occupied. Very embarrassing for us and the guest in the room. Then when we went back to the desk to tell the girl what happenned, no apology or anything, she just said that they weren't supposed to be there, and handed us key cards for another room. So I called and complained to Expedia, and we were upgraded to a hot tub room for the rest of our stay at no additional cost. That was very nice, even though the girl at the front desk told us there were no hot tub rooms available. When we are in town, our kids and grandchildren usually meet up with us at our hotel for breakfast, the Best WEstern is the only hotel that charges for that, but I will admit it was not enforced. Also, they don't have extra stuff at the front desk, like toothbrushes, aspirin, things like that in case a guest forgot something. The girl cleaning the room was fabulous, very friendly, and Victor who worked the front desk during the day was great too.
