"Amazing hotel, in the heart of The Loop!"
At first glance the Virgin Hotel is very unassuming from the outside. As soon as you step through the revolving door, you're greeted by the friendly staff, and you notice the quirky pops of flair throughout the property that are synonymous with the Virgin brand.
I have stayed in a lot of upscale properties, both stateside, and abroad, and in my honest opinion, I have never had a more pleasant experience than the one I had staying at the Virgin Hotel.
The Chamber Suites are very comfortable and well appointed. The layout was very well thought out, and had a nice flow as you transitioned from the living area, to the bathroom, and into the bedroom. It hardly felt like I was staying in a hotel. I felt like I was living in a loft in "Downtown Anywhere", that's how at home you feel. Also, you cannot go wrong with the mini bar. I almost never help myself to mini bar fare, however, you just cannot help yourself at the Virgin Hotel. All of the snacks and drinks are very reasonably priced. Honestly, I was helping myself to everything in that minibar, daily.
Talk about location, location, location! You are in close proximity, and within walking distance to a lot of major Chicago landmarks. You're literally minutes away from Cloud Gate (the Bean), at Millennium Park, The Chicago Theatre, and about a 20 minute walk to the Buckingham Fountain and Willis (Sears) Tower. Also, there are so many great restaurants and bars in the immediate area, not to mention the great offerings on site.
