"Unique With Every Amenity, Sadly Changing 12/15/15"
We loved this! A relative was hospitalized for several days. We had a full size refrigerator, microwave, toaster, coffeemaker, and stovetop. We loved the separate bedroom. Clean and quiet.
The pool was very clean. I did not see the workout area but it appeared tidy.
My only non issue with this property is December 15th 2015 they are going to renovate. This is the ONLY hotel in downtown Chicago, with a kitchen, separate bedroom, that allows smoking! They have all smoking rooms isolated to the 7th floor. Would be super cool if they could renovate the whole property except for the top floor, then let that one be smoking.
I don't smoke myself but my family does....and it makes my time less stressful as I don't have to hear them complain about going outside in the cold. I guess from a health standpoint it is probably a good thing!
I will say as a caveat here with full disclosure, a person did tell me that since smoking is only on the 7th floor that the smell has bothered some people on the 8th floor. So if you are one of those folks with a huge aversion to smoke and you are staying here before they renovate, you should request to stay on a floor besides 7 or 8.
Breakfast was great each day. Plain yogurt with fresh fruit (one day even had mangoes!). Biscuits and gravy were served one of the days. Each day there were eggs, potatoes or hashbrowns, always had pancakes, cereals, breads, bagels, oatmeal, and bananas.
I ended up getting an average rate of $130 a nite!
