(4,884 reviews) We really enjoyed our stay here! The Expedia check-in process was very quick and organized. We enjoyed the wonderful pools and all of the daily activities and the poolside special lunch themes. We ate in all 3 of the restaurants and we liked Zai and Don Gus. We did not enjoy Marco Polo as much, the menu was limited and the portions were small. A big shout out to the great pool-side bartenders (Nelson+Alfredo)! The nightly planned entertainment was very good also. We had a small issue with our A/C being too cold but they came up and fixed it. After 9pm there is nowhere to go to get a light snack everything is closed. They should serve some small snacks in the lobby bar since it is open until midnight and people are drinking and socializing. Overall we had a great stay here and I would recommend this resort. (1,008 reviews) Overall, the experience was good. However, I was not impressed with the room—it did not match the pictures and could definitely use some remodeling and maintenance. The room had a noticeable old smell, which might be unpleasant for people who are sensitive to odors. There was also quite a bit of noise coming through the door from housekeeping and people walking in the hallway. It wasn’t terrible, but since we had little ones the noise was sometimes disturbing, especially when they were trying to rest. On the positive side, there was a great variety of food and desserts. The environment was enjoyable, and the unlimited drinks were a nice bonus. The pool is quite large, but it still felt overcrowded. By around 10 a.m., all the poolside and beachside seats and umbrellas were already taken.
