Generally the hotel is fine, the room spacious and comfortable enough. My personal experience was tainted by the pool being closed. I booked this hotel specifically because, during the heatwave, the idea of a hotel with a pool was very appealing. I didn't know until attempting to use it that it was closed, pending engineering work. I asked about it at reception and expressed my disappointment. I was offered no form of consolation or token compensation.

Was nice to have potable water available 24 hours to fill our thermo. Excellent location. Having a restaurant inside was very convenient. Sofa bed was uncomfortable (it kept splitting in two pieces). Room was smaller than we thought.

This was our first time staying at the Marriott County Hall and frankly, it exceeded our expectations. It is located on the south side of the river, right by the London eye and convenient walking distance to Waterloo station and Westminster. They offered sparkling wine when we checked in which was a nice touch and our room was a decent size compared to other London hotels we've stayed at for the same money. The bar was comfy and their Pimm's and lemonade was amazing.
