"Always nice to stay here. Our go to B&B. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Room was immaculate. Very comfortable bed. Fabulous facilities.
Pity the breakfast option wasn't available (due to unforeseen circumstances) but there are plenty cafes, restaurants etc on the doorstop that do the job just as well. "
"Lovely, quiet hotel close to old Durham. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and particular kudos to those working the evening shift in the restaurant and bar."
"On entering the property we was greeted by the reception staff they were very friendly and helpful, they made our short stay feel at ease, had everything we needed and the owner was so polite even carried my bag upstairs and said anything we need just ask. Really can’t fault our room was lovely felt homely & cosy, the area was nice & quiet. Highly recommend this place. We had the family room as it was the last one left for us to book & was a great size room. 10/10 "

"We had an amazing stay at Kinley Tower. The views are lovely and it is a very peaceful spot. Surrounded by countryside the walks from the Tower, including along the beach are fantastic! The Tower was equipped with everything you could need and spotlessly clean! The owners made every part of the booking/check in and departure very easy. They even went out of their way to return something to us that we had left behind. We would wholeheartedly recommend a stay in your own little piece of history!"
"This is a 100 yr old property that has been updated but a while ago. The rooms are small but the owner/staff was excellent and the stay was enjoyable. They included a made to order breakfast. Peterlee is a little out of the way but matched where we were going. Just stayed one night."
"Lovely property, tucked away at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac with beautiful views of the distant sea. Newly decorated with a powerful shower and plentiful easy to use heating. The bedrooms and whole bungalow feels very spacious. It’s a bit sparsely furnished and an extra lounge chair and some side tables would make it easier to use. Slight niggle that one of each of the bedside table lamps couldn’t be plugged in as there was no socket nearby. Also would have preferred a sink in the toilet. Its on quite a hill which may be a consideration for some, but we found it easy to park on the road at the bottom with a v short walk up and also braved hill parking a few nights, in gear and wheels to kerb it was fine! Convenient location and we had a lovely supper from Gill’s Fish and Chips just down the road. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would be very happy to come back. Recommended."
"Our overall impression of Milibanke House is that its location is great. It is quiet. The management lacks integrity and we encountered several issues. "
"It was handy for walking to shops and sea front. Quiet at back , which was good at night but a bit noisy at front. Fridge wasn’t working and a hairdryer would be useful. However, we enjoyed our stay and would book again. Spotlessly clean. "
"This is a great holiday home away from home. Decor is slick and modern. Bedrooms are calm and comfortable. Plenty of toilets and bathrooms. The kitchen has all you need to make any meal you want. It was nice to have a washer handy, along with the microwave and dishwasher. The back garden is a nice outdoor sanctuary to spend a mild night talking about your day at the seaside. The hosts were very helpful and communicative. The check in/out process was seamless. If I come to this area again, I would definitely want to book here. Thank you for such a wonderful stay!"
"Excellent venue with lots of parking. Very clean and spacious. This was a last minute booking and communication was poor. You don't get access instructions until you pay a waiver that costs either an additional £10 or £25 depending on what you choose. And then you have to chase to get it back. Sounds a bit of a con to me but I had no choice. Overall though the property was excellent, just let down by a poor letting agent in my opinion."
