Great size accommodation and with modern kitchen and bathroom making staying here great. Set away from any main road it's perfect for quiet down time surrounded by fields. Such a lovely place, in the centre of fields with horses grazing peacefully around making the setting perfect! 10 mins on foot to the beach (to go sea glass hunting) and 10 mins in the car to Morrisons. The beach is pebble and it has a steep incline so if (like me) you suffer with bad knees, you need to take care but it can be done. I have a tween and a teen and they loved the setting enough to put their phones down and enjoy family time 😊 Durham Castle & Cathedral are also well worth the visit. It was a shame that they were stingy with loo roll ( only 1 roll for a 3 night stay). Comments relating to the shower have been made over several years and it is not clear why the simple repair needed has not been carried out.
