"Lovely staff, lounge areas are exquisite.
Restaurant is very expensive, as are all beverages from the hotel - even before the 12.5% mandatory service charge. Expect a dinner bill of £200 + for just two guests and one bottle of wine - it really is not worth it for the minuscule portions."

"My wife and I only stayed one night in this Quaint Inn that has a lovely vibe and we would definitely stay here again. The room was nice, clean and had plenty of tea/coffee. Couldn't sample the breakfast because we were up and away early. However, we did have our evening meal here and can say the food was very good. The staff were very friendly, professional and helpful. "A very comfortable and relaxing overnight stay. Lovely country pub with friendly staff, good food and accommodation.
We liked the rooms being located away from the main pub, as we could have our meal then head back to our peaceful room."

Its great to find a hotel you can stay for just one night over the weekend. I was looking for somewhere close to London (34 miles away), with great reviews, good food and accommodation and places to visit nearby. The Bel and Dragon had all of that. The room was tastefully furnished (with free sloe gin - added bonus!) and the hotel was cosy and characterful. We enjoyed a drink in the bar and a great dinner (although I noticed the bar food also looked enticing. There is a snug for hotel guests...

Great little one night stay. We were going to a friends for a birthday party and just needed to lay our heads down for the night and get a great breakfast before setting off home. We got both! And the added bonus of some banging songs from the radio! All the classics! Highly recommend!

We had a twin room, but it was on the first floor, it would have been nice if there was one on the ground floor, apart from that the staff were just lovely and very helpful.
the dining room was very spacious and food was tasty.
In the breakfast room the staff were again very helpful and chatty, the kitchen was very open to changing the menu for different tastes.
We loved it and will return.

Great initial welcome from Mike, backed up by some wonderful idiosyncratic features that uplifted the stay. Complimentary Sipsmiths Sloe Gin in the room, choice of two single malt whiskies (also complimentary) and freshly brewed coffee at the refreshments station were unexpected and warmly enjoyed! Restaurant and bar staff were very helpful and food preparation and presentation were excellent. The breakfast of blueberry pancakes were the prettiest presentation we've ever seen.
