Apart from one waiter at breakfast being a bit rude giving me the check without telling me no need to rush then saying goodbye to me in a kind of miserable way all staff delivered exceptional service. "Because of the age of the building there was no air conditioning. And only a tiny fan in the round. 10”
I found it was just to unbearable to sleep. Warm day and room above the kitchen. One member of staff said to mention to reception. She said they have a lot of people say about it and they should be doing something about it. Was I was checking out and mentioned to the lady there. She brushed me off and I felt awkward and hurt. She did not care. "

The food was Excellent - better than the Michelin * restuarants I have been to recently in London and Venice. The grounds are spectacular - all 66 acres of them and its worth visiting just for this alone.
The bedrooms are very nice and confortable. We had an Orangery suite which has Aircon. The Main house rooms do not.
The staff were superb! Expecially compared to some other much more expensive hotels where the service really lets them down. "
