"Quiet, laid back beach resort."
This was the first experience with an all inclusive resort for my wife and I, and overall we were pleasantly surprised. Since our room had a full kitchen, if we'd had the option we would have done our own cooking, but to be able to let go of that and enjoy what was there turned out to be a treat.
The food was good, not great. Reasonable options, though limited for vegetarians, like our friends who were with us. The breakfast buffet was our favorite option. We did get authorization letters from the front desk for eating at sister resorts in the area, which was a nice option, though we did have a rental car which made transportation easy. We went to the AlSol Luxury, where the food was a step up.
The beach was lovely, though not expansive in terms of being able to talk long walks along a beach front. We could walk about 1/3 of a mile until the next resort which didn't allow us to walk extend our walk onto their property. There were some chairs on the beach, but to be sure to get one, you need to go down to the beach first thing in the day and leave a towel or something to reserve it as yours. The same system worked for chairs around the pool.
The room was very comfortable, and we particularly loved the walk out patio with our own hot tub, with a nice view of the ocean.
There wasn't a lot to do there, which was great for us, so we could enjoy the sun, pool, food, and good vacation reading.
