We had a great stay at this resort. The property was beautiful, the staff were friendly, and the rooms and amenities exceeded our expectations. The only downside was that the food at a few of the restaurants was just okay and didn’t quite match the overall quality of the resort. hotel overall was great. One of the biggest hotels I have visited. Staff was not the best although there were few very nice people. Food at the buffets was not good but if you get the chance to reserve at the signature restaurants, experience can change. Pool was decent and spa was my favorite place. Property is beautiful and clean. The buffets were kind of lacking this time in food choices. The premier restaurants were all great hibachi being the best. Beaches clean, never packed always can find a seat no matter what time of day . pools were busy, but not till about noon.

You get what you pay for. There were a little bit of roaches crawling around the main lobby and by the elevator. One of the buffets smelled like raw sewage specially by the entrance. But other than that i mean it was a good stay. We had a really good time and we enjoyed our stay there.

This is a beautiful and well-maintained property with a beautiful beach. BUT service is virtually non-existent, non-welcoming, non-responsive and does not even come close to a 4- or 5-star level AND food and drink (even coffee and tea) quality is bad to tears no matter where you go. This resort is trying to cut corners to save money at every step. Personal opinion: management needs to be replaced.

The pools were beautiful and not over crowded. The beach was disappointing with seaweed. The staff was awesome and very friendly and helpful. Brandol answered any questions I had at anytime I asked. He took great care of us to make sure we had what we needed. We did have a problem with our first room with moisture on floors and our clothes got damp too. We were given another room and it worked out. Overall we had a great stay and would stay again in a different season when there is NO seaweed!! Food was average with great variety

We had a wonderful family vacation at Barcelo Bavaro Palace. The beach is beautiful, the grounds are well maintained, and there are plenty of activities for families of all ages. The golf course was a highlight, and the Premium Level upgrade was worth it for the added conveniences. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. Several employees went out of their way to make my son with special needs feel special, which meant a great deal to our family. The property itself is showing its age and would benefit from renovations and modernization. The food was somewhat inconsistent overall, although we particularly enjoyed the Mexican and Italian restaurants. We also experienced an air-conditioning issue in our room that took several visits to resolve, but once addressed it worked well. Because the resort is very large, additional lighting along some walkways in the evening would be helpful. Overall, we had a memorable week together as a family and would return, particularly for the beach, golf, family atmosphere, and excellent staff.

The butler assigned to us, Ángel Arias, provided excellent service and was always attentive to our needs and requests. His professionalism, kindness, and willingness to help made our stay even more enjoyable and memorable. The overall service throughout the hotel was outstanding. The staff was friendly, professional, and always available to assist. The hotel also offers a variety of activities, including Zumba classes, aquatic activities, and pool entertainment, which added to the overall experience. There are a few areas that could be improved, such as a slight unpleasant odor in certain parts of the hotel. Additionally, I noticed that some of the tiles in the pool areas appear to be coming loose, so some maintenance and safety attention in those areas may be beneficial for guests. However, these were relatively minor issues and did not significantly affect our stay. Overall, I have nothing to complain about. The service, activities, hospitality, and overall experience were excellent. I highly recommend this hotel and would gladly return in the future. I would also highly recommend purchasing the Premium Level service or the Guest Experience package, as it provides additional benefits and helps make the stay even more enjoyable and comfortable.

I was very excited to check out this very popular resort; however as a dominican after staying here, I would not go back. I was highly disappointed by most of the staff’s poor demeanor because Dominicans are known for their friendliness and hospitality, yet the staff here do not reflect that. Below are the pros and cons for this resort. Cons: - Most of staff don’t serve you with a good attitude which I had never encountered that in a dominican resort. My friend said that the staff make you feel like you are bothering them which felt very weird for us. -Concierge Staff- Both staff that I had to speak with were not nice. -At Kyoto restaurant ( the food was a 10) my table’s waitress spilled wine on my clothes and arm and she didn’t even apologize. She was surprised, but never apologized. Also, my friend’s husband asked her about a food on the menu and she was rude. - Buffet and two of the restaurants’s bathrooms have a water filtration problem and the smell is unbearable . I felt so bad for the kind cleaning lady having to deal with that smell all the time, that I felt the need to tip her because despite working under that condition, she is very nice. -The resort does not seem to have smoking restrictions. - The buffet food is a hit or miss so if you are a foodie be mindful of that. I recommend Santa Fe for lunch and for evening restaurants I recommend the Spanish and the Japanese one. Pros: -The grounds are beautiful. -The beach is pretty. - Their kid’s club staff.

This hotel was pretty good. The options for pool and entertainment were very good. The staff and service was also very good. I have been to two hotels in Punta Cana and I didn't like the food in either. I think its just that I don't like how they cook. But they had multiple options to eat in different restaurants.

This was one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. We had 5 rooms for 9 guests. Barcelo Bavaro Palace fails in the most basic areas of hospitality: cleanliness, food safety, customer service, communication, and management. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE. The rooms were filthy. The walls were covered in dust, cockroaches were present in multiple rooms, and several electrical outlets were loose, creating a serious safety concern. The food quality was unacceptable. Fresh food was virtually nonexistent throughout our seven-day stay. Tomatoes, watermelon, and other vegetables were repeatedly reused, and many hot dishes appeared to be reheated and served over multiple days. The smell of spoiled produce was noticeable every morning. The resort's sanitation standards were equally unacceptable. Vomit remained next to the pool bar overnight without being cleaned, and the beach was covered with excessive seaweed that was left uncleared, making swimming impossible. The staff demonstrated virtually no customer service skills, and most employees could not communicate in English, making even basic requests frustrating. Management was completely ineffective. After requesting to speak with a manager more than 20 times, I finally met with a senior manager and spent over an hour explaining the numerous issues we encountered. At checkout, I was informed that none of my complaints had ever been documented or communicated, showing a complete lack of accountability.
