Hotel chosen for its location as it was easy to walk to iconic places like the opera house & royal palace as well as stroll through the local markets. You are spoilt for choice as far as good eating places nearby. The bar/cafe a few doors away from the hotel do great salads & snacks and there are restaurants around every corner for less casual dining.
Hotel highlights are the staff and morrocan themed seating area. Plenty of choice at the self service breakfast.
If giving constructive feedback, the rooms could be lighter and brighter by just changing bed & curtain fabrics. A new coat of paint on the walls would help too. This is just a minor point to suggest improvements. The bed was comfy and room kept clean so if not spending much time in the room you will have a great stay

Hotel facilities and location along the waterfront by the Port/Marina were wonderful. The bar and restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful on multiple visits. WiFi could use some improvements as it was very difficult to work with photos/ videos online with the network being very slow and dropping frequently.
Lovely place to go and relax, but if you are going into the city (particularly between Nov - Mar when there is no free shuttle into the town center) it will be either expensive at about €20 each way via taxi or driving and trying to find parking in city central is a massive headache.
Really enjoyed the 3 days in Palmero and relaxing in the hotel in the afternoons had a lot to do with it.

"Nice and comfortable hotel in the heart of Catania"
This is a very nice comfortable and conveniently hotel in the heart of Catania. Most of tourist attractions are walking distance. There are plenty of restaurants nearby offering local cuisine.
The breakfast is very tasty with variety of local products and Italian sweets.
The staff is very much helpful professional and reliable. Gabriele from the reception desk is always greeting guests with a smile and willing to help with anything one might need.
The rooms are small but comfortable. Please note that this is a local hotel situated in a historical and very important renovated building thus do not expect specious rooms and modern ambience like in Hilton or Four Seasons. The wifi is very good all over the venue.
Great place for a romantic stay

The NH Catania is a good choice for a stay in Catania. As other reviewers have noted, it's in a quieter part of the city, right by bus stops for the airport and city buses. You can walk to the historic center or train/bus station in about 20-25 minutes. It's a newer hotel, and room/facilities are fine. The hotel staff were all friendly enough. As others reported, the breakfast does emphasize baked goods - but they're quality baked goods. The restaurant is OK - there aren't too many other eating options close by.

Overall the experience was very good. Room was spacious with a balcony, which meant being able to sit quietly in the sun when inclined. Breakfast was well presented and reasonably comprehensive. Whenever I asked the reception staff for information of advice it was useful and readily forthcoming.

Gardens - Beautifully kept
Beach - Volcanic sand charges for towels 1 EURO a day each, but you can keep it for longer without charge as they do not book your towel back in. Beach lounges 12-15EUROs a day too expensive often empty, so would it not be better to charge less and have all of them used?
Rooms - Very clean, but we paid extra for a Villa - it was a room with a very small shower which was a little mouldy in places, pillow too thin and only one, had to ask twice for another pillow. This is NOT a villa felt duped.
Charge card - You had to put cash on your room card to pay for drinks/food ect; at the hotel, although an ATM is provided in reception for this purpose. It does however encourage you to go out of the hotel to the amazing restaurants charging half the cost for freshly cooked meals, not buffet food as offered at the hotel.
Olympic bar - not open in the day very odd better place to sit as comfy seats in the shade, the entertainer there was the same guy every night which was too much and boring, he did miss a few notes too. I think there should be different entertainers.
Pools - Two pools, I felt the Olympic pool was better as it was a nicer setting personally, although more plants in the eating area would be nice.

We have just spent 2 weeks at the Taormina Park Hotel and loved every minute of the stay, the staff are welcoming and friendly and do whatever they can to make your stay memorable.
The breakfast buffet was good but they only do fried eggs, boiled ones would have been a nice option but apart from that everything was great.
The hotel itself is a little dated but that just added to the charm but it was clean and comfortable as you would expect.
All in all this is a great place to stay and I would recommend this to anyone who wishes to stay in Taormina.
