"Central and Charming"
The Arosfa hotel is perfectly located for just about anything you would want to do in London. The owners and staff are absolutely lovely. The breakfast each morning is plentiful and varied. I had a lovely stay there and would certainly book again with this hotel.

"Good choice on short notice"
I booked a room on short notice due to some changes in travel plans. The hotel is conveniently located and the staff were excellent. The only drawback is the street noise which really can't be helped given the location.

"Nice place - if you get in and don't need to sleep"
Loved the place, but great confusion about getting in. Our receipt had the wrong door code and we would have been high and dry without a bed if not for the pure luck of other guests arriving at the same time. This place is next door to a police station. One of their "customers" screamed at full-volume from 2:00 am until 5:00. Zero sleep. Otherwise nice place.

"Very good location"
Small hotel with the reception and breakfast room in the basement. We were on the top floor so had four floors to climb and there is no lift, so not suitable for people with mobility difficulties. However the receptionist carried our case up. The breakfast was nice if you want a full English but the continental style breakfast was extremely lacking with apples being the only fruit on offer and the cereal already in the bowls. My friend asked just for bacon for the cooked option and was only given one rasher! In saying all that it was clean and comfy and in a great location.

"Great location, terrible bed"
This hotel has some good & bad points and the bad points are easily fixable. Would give 5 stars if bad points fixed. The Good: great breakfast, lots of options, eggs were fantastic, croissants were delicious, staff was pleasant great location, close to Goodge St tube station and others. Kind of half way between the touristy things to the East and West. The Bad: THE BED. It was so bad I wanted to cry every night. I still have bruises on my right hip and knee from sleeping on my right side. You can feel the metal coils through the bed sheet. A simple mattress topper could fix this. I woke up one night on my back with my heels on fire from pressure points against the metal and I barely tip the scales at 120 lbs. Also, there were 2 blood-like stain on the duvet cover that was never changed and a faint yellowish stain. I did position the duvet cover for the housekeeper to see but they just remade the bed and didn't change the cover. THE BATHROOM: Our shower had spots of black mold all over which was never cleaned, even after I left a note. For over 24 hours a screw sat in a corner of our shower and rusted, I have no idea where it came from. When we arrived we didn't have a TP holder, which we alerted the front desk to on our way out the door our first night. It was replaced the next day. Room gets HOT so we turned the radiators off. I would stay here if I visited London again only if I could guarantee a comfortable bed, not the painful metal mess we slept on

Pocket Guide: London Bloomsbury 3 stars Hotels

The fashionable residential district of Bloomsbury in central London, dotted with hushed Georgian garden squares, has drawn famous writers and philosophers through the centuries. Virginia Woolf and the Bloomsbury Set redefined the 20th-century novel here, and being the seat of the British Library and the British Museum, it was also where Charles Darwin formulated his historic theory of evolution.
