"This hotel is in an excellent area- definately the location is 4star. The actual room was dated - room was functional but tired- needs some updates. We did not spend much time in room -or partake in hotel restaurant so cannot comment & for the most part our room was clean & reasonably quiet. "

"Lovely building & architecture but in need of a bit of attention in places. Room was quite small but ok but bed was not comfortable and pillows flat! We asked for firmer pillows but they never appeared! Overall we enjoyed our stay though. Breakfast was good & great location for Kensington Park. "

"Hotel was fine, breakfast could have been slightly less expensive, but it was fine. The room was recently renovated. US folks beware, as the UK standard, no washcloths. My feeling is that this is tired and old tradition and needs to fall away. The hotel has this funky "3rd party" service that does the convenience store program. It's all self service. This is fine, except when they chained up the alcohol. I can't buy what you aren't able to sell; hotel can't do anything except send you outside....

"Sadly a good room was spoilt by a blocked drain in the bathroom. Any water from shower or bath would not drain away. Restaurant service was exceptionally slow. One hour between each course. Food itself was excellent. The restaurant lacked any ambiance or atmosphere. Breakfast a little below par for a four star Cavendish experience. The staff themselves could not be more helpful. "

"We loved the location! Very walkable to main London attractions, including shopping, restaurants and pubs as well the Thames. We compared to many properties and Marlin Waterloo was the best value! The kitchenette was very handy and felt that the room was designed well for a family of 4 adults. Would definitely recommend and this would be our first choice for a return trip to London "

"Hotel property and service staff were excellent. Unfortunately even after providing my credit card at check-in I was not allowed to charge to my room (very annoying). Also the HVAC in the room was pre set not to go below 24C and the room fan did not operate consistently for the week which I believe was an electrical wiring issue. The hotel was Good but not Excellent. "

"We would certainly stay here again. We had a 10 day booking and loved the location and neighborhood, close to Paddington Station, restaurants, and a great walkability factor. The rooms and bathrooms are very small, but clean with comfortable beds. Plumbing works great too, plenty of hot water and modern showers. Staff was friendly and immediately changed our room when we were originally given a room on the lowest level that seemed like a basement. Ask for a room on the upper floors! Our only...

"It was a weekend to celebrate our 10th Anniversary. To surprise my partner I asked for extra's in the room, ie, room dressed for the occasion, including, roses and wine which was very reasonably priced. The room looked absolutely fantastic, with beautiful long stemmed red roses and a quality wine. I will never forget the overwhelming excitment on my partner's face when she opened our hotel room door. THANK YOU so much for making our stay so special."
