“Everything we needed !!”

We booked for the Ballet and this hotel was recommended for our visit. Exterior of hotel a bit drab.....interior very good. Staff incredibly efficient but please SMILE !!!! Room spotless. Pillows..the best I have experienced. The room (2nd floor)overlooked a railway line...but we heard nothing. Breakfast...absolutely excellent..a running buffet with everything one could want. Good restaurants and shoping in vicinity. Short walk to V & A, Natural History and Science Museum. Good access to Underground from Kensington High street. We found little to say on the negative side...just one thing..we were awoken on day of our departure at 8 am to ask when we would be quitting the room !!

Area recommendations

Kensington is ideal. A quieter area of London. good shopping. Good restaurants. Access to Museums. Access to Harrods. We found it to be ideal for our needs. We travelled to Leicester Square to the Theatre from Kensington High Street and I timed it at 20 minutes.

“Comfortable with a helpful staff”

My Wife and I stayed here for a Thanksgiving trip. The room was nice without many frills. The bed was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was clean and bright. The staff was very helpful. My wife had left her wallet on the plane when we arrived in London. The concierge helped us contact the airline and we got the wallet back without incident.

“Good value for money”

Good hotel off the main street of very upscale neighborhood. I've stayed here lots of times. No safe desposit box in room. You have go to concierge for safe desposit box. But first you need to leave deposit at front desk. A pain. Hotel also use third parties for a lot things like wi-fi service and computers in the lobby. So you have to call third party tech support if you have problems.

“ok for a short stay”

Definitely not a 4-star. We were very disappointed of the quality and maybe put our expectations a little too high. Good location for sure close to Hyde Park, but a 4-star hotel that does not empty the bin, does not replace the shampoo and shower gel, as well as does not replace the bar (tea bags, coffee) and has an empty fridge is not what I call a good hotel. I caught cold and asked for a cup of tea with rhum and lemon, but nobody was able to provide this... Just was suggested a rhum shot instead... Ok for the week-en but do not expect much. Do not eat there your breakfast neither, just too expensive. It is so much better outside. A 3mn walk will take you to a nice place.

“Not Impressed”

Reception staf were friendly, and the initial impression was good. Room however need a much overdue 'facelift' Blood specks on bathroom floor & wall. Wallpaper was peeling off one wall. Heat/airconditioning not controllable. Felt it was an overpriced hotel, but was a convenient location for the few hours we were there.

“2nd visit will return”

This hotel continues to perform and whilst the rooms are a bit dated they are clean & comfortable. The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff makes for a pleasant leisure stay. The price includes breakfast but make sure your room card shows this. The reception staff did not seen to know about the special Expedia Offer but this was soon put right by senior reception staff.

Perfectly situated for Royal Albert Hall also close to tube station for exploring London
