“The Perfect Base from which to explore this great City”
I booked the hotel as a surprise for my partner's birthday as we wanted to re-visit London and take in some of the attractions along with a bit of Christmas shopping. The location of the Hotel is simply perfect, with access to the tube and London Bus routes just a minute or two's walk from the Hotel. The interior was clean, well furnished, modern and had all of the extra's that you would expect from a high end London Hotel including an excellent choice of places to eat on site along with all of the extras that you could ask for in a room. The staff excelled from the moment that we arrived with everybody from the cloakroom attendants to the reception staff eager to make our stay an enjoyable one. The final touch that sets this Hotel apart from others that we have stayed in was the regular live music in the bar with splendid views of both Parliment and its clock tower that holds the famous bell 'Big Ben' allowing you to relax as if it was your own front room. All in all this was a fabulous, relaxing break in what has to be one of Londons most value for money locations. A definate choice on the future visits list, the only negative was that we were not staying for longer.
“Great hotel in Central London”
Fabulous hotel in a central location - near Waterloo train station and tube as well as Westminster tube station. Convenient for travelling or walking across London. Rooms were spacious and only let down by really hard beds. Loved the room decoration and the hotel's leisure facilities - a swimming pool, sauna, steam room and gym. Would stay again but only on a softer bed.
“On the water by the rail”
Perfect location. Near to the SouthBank.
“Great Hotel”
Great hotel. We stayed in room 773, a studio double room. Room is a great size for such a central London location. Only negatives regarding the room were that it was said to have a kingsize bed, but we had 2 singles. Not a major problem as we just pushed them together but not exactly as advertised. Also the view was not great, staring straight across to the hotel opposite, but understand not all rooms can have a spectacular view! Hotel is only a 5 minute walk from waterloo station, 2 tube rides from Kings Cross station. Also plenty of attractions in the local vicinity of the hotel. Would definitely recommend to anyone and would certainly consider staying here again.
“Expensive - but great location”
The hotel is in the heart of London, a few minutes walk from Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey and the London Eye. My room did not have an external view, but it was very comfortable.
“great clean + modern hotel”
Loved my stay there 11/23-11/26/2011.
“Excellent hotel in excellent location”
Had a great time. London, the hotel was of a high standard and very reasonably priced, 5 mins away from all the famous landmarks, 3 mi. Walk from Waterloo. Couldn't of been better.
“Weekend in London”
Excellent hotel .... great family room, kids bed is in separate area from the parents which is a bonus. Two large tv's which impressed the kids. Little kitchenette, ideal for making breakfast as for a family the breakfast was very expensive. Fantastic swimming pool, overall a great central place to stay if you are doing the London Sites. Will definitely book again.
“"Wouldn't stay anywhere else"”
Great location; short walk to several major tourist attractions. Easy access to both local bus & tube. Friendly & very helpful staff. Clean & very quiet room. The Mandara Spa is an absolute must. I would not hesitate to stay here again.
“Huge hotel”
An enormous hotel. Satyed on 12th floor. Very handy for covent garden (20 min walk).
