Great location close to Excel and many restaurants, shops, etc. Staff were very friendly, our room was nice (albeit we were on a special) and the breakfast was great. Nice Gaucho's on the river 2 mins walk away.
I stayed here with my son for an exhibition at Excel. It was much better value than the hotels next door to Excel and only 5 short stops on the DLR which is 2 min walk from the hotel.
The hotel is superior in standard of room, cleanliness and service and we loved it. Best thing of all is that one side of the hotel opens up onto West India Quay (a minute from
Canary Wharf) and we loved walking round here when looking for a bite to eat. It felt really safe and very smart and the tube / DLR stops are all close by. Room service is quick and efficient, beds are very comfortable and great LG TV!
Some people may feel the decor is more traditional but I prefer that to the minimalist style. It is still modern. The only thing that would make this 5/5 for me is if there was a pool / spa area
Highly recommend this hotel and join Marriott members club to get perks including free wifi.
We booked a family room for the Minecon convention at the Excel.
Room not huge but very comfy - slept well. Hotel full but room still quiet. Staff very helpful. Breakfast (full English) very good. Only complaint would be that the restaurant on Sunday morning was a little hectic as many guests arrived at the same time and the staff seemed to have been caught on the hop. Food was still good - I really enjoyed the breakfast.
Both of our children (10 & 13) loved the place.
Very handy for the Excel and DLR - doesn't take long to get into London.
Would happily stay there again.
We had a great time at the Fleetwood Mac concert and had a great night that was enhanced by our stay at Canary Wharf Hilton. The reception staff on arrival were very helpful and gave good advice for our first visit to the O2. Nothing seemed too much trouble.
Enjoyed the stay albeit was only for one night. Was intially disappointed that the DLR was shut on Saturday however actually turned out better as replacement bus service dropped us right outside the hotel. Very new and clean hotel . Breakfast lovely . Spa well equipped. Would recommend
London’s 21st-century waterside business district, Canary Wharf is best known for its cutting-edge architecture, including the 50-storey obelisk-shaped skyscraper, One Canada Square. Get there by the Docklands Light Railway, with elevated tracks giving wonderful views into a world of glass and steel. By contrast, historic Greenwich, home to the National Maritime Museum, is just across the Thames. A foot tunnel links the two.
