"A very pleasant alternative style of accommodation"
On arrival at the reception the staff were extremely pleasant and helpful.
The room was excellent like a larger version of a balcony room on a cruise ship with an excellent in room facilities.
The bar and restaurant were also stylish.
We didn't opt for the breakfast on board, as it was far too expensive, and much cheaper to get the cable cars to the O2 and have breakfast there, or take the train to Tower Hill and breakfast in St. Katharine's Dock.

All transportation is close by and easy to access. A bit further from central London than we have stayed before but loved the accommodations and staff. Lots of restaurants and shopping very close. Plan for an extra few minutes to make it into the city.

There are many Novotels in the London area. This one in Greenwich is clean and well located if you prefer being closer to the GMT demarcation, which we do. But it is located right next to metro and rail line, so you can be in Southwark/London Bridge in ten minutes. You cannot be any closer to public transport. Greenwich attractions are ten minutes away by foot or one quick metro ride. The included buffet breakfast is quite full with sausage, egg, cheese juice, hash brown (American McDonald’s style), fruit and more. The days we were there, the pancake machine was not functioning, but my wife was content with waffles. Restaurants at various price levels and convenience markets are only a couple of blocks away. You get friendly staff and good wireless Internet.
London’s 21st-century waterside business district, Canary Wharf is best known for its cutting-edge architecture, including the 50-storey obelisk-shaped skyscraper, One Canada Square. Get there by the Docklands Light Railway, with elevated tracks giving wonderful views into a world of glass and steel. By contrast, historic Greenwich, home to the National Maritime Museum, is just across the Thames. A foot tunnel links the two.
