Cons: Each time we took a shower, it took sometimes many minutes for the water to be hot. This seemed to be common with others we spoke to also.
A totally relaxing time in a special environment. From the lobby to the beach. The complex is divided in an unexpected way, with golf carts or bikes easily and readily available to get between places. All done very well.

Our stay was phenomenal and the customer service provided far exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommended this resort.

This property will be very satisfactory for certain people and not so for others. The staff is far above most resorts with their service because the size enables a personal touch.We had booked the second to the most expense room and upon arrival because, I'm a expedia vip and it was my birthday ,they upgraded us to the beachfront casita suite. OMG this made our trip How relaxing to sit out on the front deck drank coffee and watch the sun rise or go upstairs and use your our private pool ( only 3 1/2 ft deep) but still nice. Room was large, well stocked and huge bathroom with huge walk in closet.Samanya our butler couldn't do enough for us. She meet all our request and above. They had our beach bed made for us every morning by 9 o'clock. The beach waiter would bring us a bucket of iced down water or beer and would bring your lunch order right to the bed. Beach is Quiet, small but nice soft white sand. Where are no games, beach volleyball or pool activities. The pool is small and about 4 ft deep with some music being played. Salvador at the pool bar is another shining star they better keep. He went out his way to make my birthday special heck our whole trip special. Every single worker here just blew us away and if it wasn't for them I,m afraid this place might be in trouble simply because it's an older property with NOTHING to do. If they had an air conditioned sports bar with a pool table and TV's where people could congregate after dinner and rainy days would help.

The Hotel is Amazing, the staff is fantastic, specially Sawanya, Rosa and Jorge the were very special with us! Is a great experience between forest and beach.

Pros: Clean beach
Cons: Staff training, Food choices, Fruits, Buffet, More activities, Room service
The food choice is very limited, there is no buffet, no access to fruits unless its a tiny piece in desert. Bath tub the way it looks on the picture with all the nice bubbles and flowers is not what you'll actually get. U have to request it to be filled up, and we did request, but when we showed up at the room thinking we'll enjoy some bath, the bath tub was empty and dirty. We asked to have a staff come fill it up the next day but they still failed to show up and then said that they by mistake filled up it in someone else's room. I mean, twice??? How can you mess up the simple request twice? I ended up cleaning the tub with a washcloth and filling it myself. Doesnt matter, since the water very cold anyways and they dont have hot water. BUT... this is nothing comparing to what happened one of the next nights. So, we had a villa with a roof where u can lay on lounge chairs. One night we went to hang out there and when we were done and decided to get back to our room it was locked! One of cleaning staff came to clean our room, thought we weren't there and locked our balcony door from the inside! It was a nightmare! We had to scream for help since there is no way to even leave the balcony since the villa surrounded by river! Something like this happening at 5 star resort? Please, train your staff to check the second floor before deciding to lock the balcony! It was a nightmare. Ive had to better resorts in Playa for a half the price. This is worse than 3* resort!

The staff is OUTSTANDING! You will never meet kinder, considerate, hospitable, helpful, accommodating, and all out wonderful people. Please tip them while you are there. They would never ask for it, but they certainly deserve it. The room’s ac never got cool enough and the fan is noisy. The showers were janky, but after telling the Butler, it was fixed ASAP. The big tub is a little much, but it’s there and it is huge if that’s your sort of thing. The food was pretty good.

Small quaint resort perfect for a private quiet vacation or honeymoon, 2 restaurant options for dinner, rooms are close to perfect as far as space and accommodation, although the resort is small you still have bicycles at your disposal to get around but aren’t necessary. Snorkeling is included and was nice. The food was the best part. Amazing breakfast lunch and dinner, not the typical buffet style resort food it’s like going to a high end restaurant everyday. Beach service was very good too, and not crowded. Not much more to do as far as entertainment or activities but if your looking for a low key calm vacation, this is the place. We did get a massage one day, that’s extra.
