Amazing resort, one of the best we’ve been to. The food was delicious, staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable, and the pool was pristine. The beach was kept up with every day so sargassum never got in the way. We will be returning, the sooner the better.

We had a wedding on the beach there with a total of 37 guests. They made it wonderful and very special. The staff went above and beyond to make everything great. We will be coming back to this resort again for a visit and fun in the sun. This is a nice classy resort. Also the food was very good. All my friends and family enjoyed it.

It would have been a nice add to have a couple hammocks on the beach to use. Also, breakfast and lunch was basically the same stuff. Mix things up a bit. Food was delicious but you got sick of the breakfast and lunch,

If you are looking for a quiet couples getaway, this is your resort. Staff makes you feel like family. Service is amazing. They now offer activities like water aerobics, trivia, bingo, tequila tastings, and so much more. I highly recommend this resort.

If you are looking for a quiet couples vacation, this is the place. Staff is awesome. The resort is on the smaller side, but that's actually a plus. They have added activities since we were last there 25 years ago. The activities are a welcomed addition. Food was amazing. Rooms are large and well kept.

From the pool to the concierge to the bar and restaurants, the staff was wonderful. The resort ambience was very cute and almost storybook like with a “river” running through the middle. Beautifully kept grounds and the constant sound of running water just made for a very peaceful experience.

It was good and beautiful but if you want a nice dinner it is not the place we got up and left twice our server did not bring us our food after a hour of waiting and dinner options very limited and having to make reservations was very annoying.

Hotel looks well maintained, rooms were spacious and clean. The staff was really helpful as well, but sometimes they took a long time to serve food at dinners. I liked the dinner options but not all the food was good, some of it was just ok.

This was our 10 th visit to the hideaway. We loved all the staff! They made the difference from good to amazing! They all remembered us and our preferences without asking! The property is so pretty and nicely maintained with beautiful gardens. We loved the fresh lilies in the lobby! They remembered our anniversary and made a point to recognize it. They do need to fix the a/c in the alegrea bar. This visit it was not working and being being very hot time of year, the a/c would of been nice to have to enjoy an evening cocktail and and watch the entertainment. The room is always nicely cleaned and feels fresh. We loved the Loccitane bath products. The restaurants food choices and meals were so delicious we both gained 10 lbs (haha) they always accommodated preferences and allergies. We highly recommend spending some time here.

The property is very well taken care of. The rooms were very big and had proper amenities. The staff is amazing and very accommodating. The property is quiet so if you’re looking for a nice relaxing and quiet atmosphere, this is the place. There weren’t many things happening. The only draw back is the food was not that great. I’ve had better options at other Barceló properties.

Excellent resort. Beautiful beach, great pools, the food and drinks were delicious, the staff was friendly and helpful, the beds were super comfortable and the grounds were meticulous. It would have been nice if the coffee machine in the restaurant by the beach had been turned on and pastries or something available before 7am for us early risers.
