Stayed at the hôtel oct 9 t'ill 16 and really enjoyed my stay.Bed really comfortable, room very clean.Realy enjoyed the rooftop pool.View incredible.Breakfast at the restaurant was really good for only 200 pesos with a coupon from the hôtel.The location is perfect.Only 2 minutes walking from the 5th .I would definitely go back

They advertise airpot shuttle and that is not true, when I checked in they didn’t inform me of the breakfast special and everything there is expensive. The beach area was very small and water was brownish. The location ia good near lots of places you can go nearby. The pool area its cool with a nice view

I like that the hotel was right by the ocean and had a rooftop with a swimming pool and bar looking over the ocean. It also had an amazing steakhouse restaurant. My room was amazing and eccentric in a great way! I've never seen a hotel room like it! It looked like the inside of an expensive spaceship! I felt so comfortable and at home at this hotel/ inside my room. Everything you could ask for right in this hotel. Highly recommended and the price is phenomenal.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Carmen hotel. The location really is perfect - you are right on the beach but you are also close to the main strip of 5th Avenue or slightly less crowded streets if you continue up. The staff were nice, I was helped a lot by a gentleman at the front desk, I believe his name was Jose but many months have passed since my stay so I might have remembered wrong but he had gone out of his way to help me & was really genuinely very nice. I am normally very shy but I felt comfortable to approach and ask questions in my level of Spanish. It was really clean. I did go to the roof top in the morning but it was closed in the mornings after the first day - this was in March so maybe it was renovations. The appearance of the room was so cool and it is massive, it was both futuristic and retro and had a balcony. The bed was huge, it had working A/C, the shower had hot and cold water. Plenty of toiletries to keep clean, lots of cupboard space and a little fridge as well as a TV. They had a restaurant and bar, I did get a fizzy drink from there once and the staff were lovely and polite. I didn't really use this, not out of not liking it simply I am vegan and was spoilt for choice for all the options outside of the hotel and had found a little community there supporting the local businesses too. I just didn't end up having time to order from the restaurant. I thought I'd be missing out without a gym but I walked so much and explored, it wasn't missed.

Beat up but still a nice hotel. If you are booking an oceanfront room be prepared to have a loud music from the beach the whole day, you can rest only after 9 pm. The airport shuttle provided by the hotel is a scam,they will call you a regular taxi and you will pay for it 1300 pesos. Bright side: delicious breakfast (the breakfast burrito is the winner) and the AC is very good. I won’t come back.

I loved the modern vibe and the great pool. The location is excellent, and overall it’s a fantastic stay. The only small improvement I’d suggest is updating the beach club lounge chairs, as they’re a bit worn, and possibly adding a parking partnership with a nearby parking lot.

The room is very nice, and the staff is terrific. The cleaning services every day are very good and the views from the hotel are great and the location is great. It’s right next to Muza a very nice restaurant. There is also a restaurant in the hotel when tourism is at its peak.

Great location and staff was so nice and helpful! Is a Party location next to the beach. If you want a quiet room ask for a room away from the street. The restaurant was great with great food next to the beach. Rooms were clean and spacious just as shown in their pictures. Is a great hotel if you want to be next to the busy downtown area. Walking distance to the ADO bus and Walmart.
