"Great spot right in the center of Hexham, a short walk to shops, coffee, restaurants, the beautiful Hexham Abby and the town market, where we picked up snacks and fresh bread for a walk along Hadrian’s Wall on Market Day. Also a 2 minute walk from a car rental agency and on site parking, which allowed us to get to and from town via train from Newcastle, but still rent a car for a day trip out to the Northumbria coast to see Bamburgh Castle, the beaches and beach towns. "Great location, affordable apartment for a large group. Metro link directly outside the door to connect you to Newcastle. Apartment in great condition and would recommend this place. Royal Station Hotel

10/10 Excellent
"What a beautiful hotel, first impressions take your breath away. All the staff, without exception, are always pleasant and efficient. The hotel itself is in need of a refurb/decoration and is very run down in places. This didn’t bother us (we had read the reviews before we booked) but could be a disappointment to others. Our room overlooked the train station and was noisy at night due to the trains but was doubly noisy when a nearby nightclub opened until the early hours on Friday to Saturday. Fortunately we had earplugs (thank again to earlier reviews). Having said all of the above, we would definitely stay at this hotel again."
