Friendly staff, great food and a fantastic location for Catbells. Unfortunately, our first night was disappointing, with a blocked toilet, dirty surfaces and significant noise from other guests until around 3am. Our second night was much better, so hopefully this was just an isolated experience.

We stayed one Saturday night in early August. A nice welcoming hotel with ample parking. We had a premier room which was very comfortable, quiet, and had pleasant views over the gardens. The staff were really friendly and helpful, and reminded us that everything in the minibar was complimentary! As we’d eaten prior to arriving, the snacks and drinks - both alcoholic and soft were just enough to keep us satisfied until our good night’s sleep. Breakfast in the morning was plentiful and served in the hotel’s restaurant. This was a good choice for an overnight stay, especially in a premier room.

Staff were great and friendly however, the toilet wouldn’t flush, the room was damp which left our clothes damp, could hear every movement in the room above and next to us. We paid for the same room as our parents but they got a much bigger room with better facilities and the rooms were nothing like the picture.
