"The property is in a residential area. Big gate and on the post , a small signage of the hotel’s name. We spoke to someone on the intercom at the gate, the gate then opens. The property has a rustic charm. Some reviews we’ve read mentioned that the property needs renovation or updates. We think they don’t, it’s part of the charm (for us anyway, who are just visiting Italy). We only stayed for one night so didn’t get to use their swimming pool but it looks okay and romantic in the evening....

In addition the location was fantastic. a short 5 minute walk and you are in the center or Catania, with tons of shops and restaurants. this was in the middle of the square. i would rate it higher then a 10 if possible. was a fantastic hotel . "Very comfortable hotel, well located for walking to all the main sights, with absolutely lovely staff. Our rooms were clean and seemed freshly decorated with very modern shower rooms. Cosy beds. Strong, hot showers. Good selection for breakfast. Staff were great in advising on restaurants and in organising a transfer taxi for us. This was a great find. Don’t let 3 star rating mislead you. The hotel has limited facilities but what they do, they do well. Perfect for a city break."
