Well located hotel next to the best park in Santa Cruz, it is within easy walking distance of good restaurants and the main shopping streets. Staff very pleasant and helpful, bar food option is a good alternative to the main hotel restaurant. Rooftop pool, jacuzzi and sunbathing area are not usually crowded and there are great views from this rooftop. Rooms are clean and comfortable, though the window on mine only had views on a small inner courtyard.

Read all the ratings before choosing this hotel and was sceptical whether it would live up to expectations. I'm pleased to say that this hotel lived up to a consistent level of excellence! From beginning to end nothing was ever too much to ask of the very attentive and friendly staff.
I had a birthday during my stay. To my surprise a lovely bottle of Prosecco and a little cake were left in the room courtesy of the management - very nice touch.
I am already looking into returning same time next year!

For what is a fairly 'run-of-the-mill' hotel the AC Hotel Gran Canaria is quite expensive. That said, all hotels in Las Palmas seem to have put their prices up significantly recently (and I come to Las Palmas nearly every month so I have noticed this rise in prices). The increase in prices seems to have coincided with the appearance of more drilling rigs in the port area, so hotels are presumably capitalising on the increased numbers of maritime/oil industry workers needing short term accommodation. Despite the high price I was happy with my stay at the AC Hotel Gran Canaria - it is comfortable, clean and, unlike many of the other hotels I have stayed at in the city, it is quiet. Even though the Carnival in Parque Santa Catalina was in full swing I had very little disturbance and was able to get a good sleep every night for the 4 nights that I was there.

Bright sunny room 3rd floor overlooking the beach.A bottle of champagne on ice,2small bottles of red wine and fruit bowl greeted us on arrival. There were 2 sun loungers for our use on the veranda, also slippers and robes. The air conditioning was very welcome. Terrific food at all mealtimes plenty of choice for everyone. Bus stop across the road and taxis are cheap.

Absolutely loved this hotel. Met with a welcome drink, friendly and helpful reception staff. Luggage was taken to our room which turned out to be a suite overlooking the pool with balcony. Spa facilities and back massage were thoroughly enjoyed, we actually fell asleep! Choice of restaurants on site and relaxing bar. Couldn't fault this hotel. Great entertainment, brilliant location next to the marina with fab shops and wonderful restaurants, so much choice. Would go back again.
