"Pros: Really good communication from host. Decorated nicely. Log burner (extra charge if using hosts logs). Milk in fridge. 8 minutes drive to Beamish museum. 4 minutes drive to a really good play park and splash area, by the river. Comfy beds and bedding. The accommodation was really clean. Shower heats up quick, large shower head.

"Check in was easy and number pad entry system works well. Having a drive for the car was very welcome.The property is a good size with a very nice living room, good kitchen and 3 bedrooms.It is very clean with nice furnishings, and there are nice touches such as slippers for upstairs and plenty of 'movement' lighting at night.The location is quiet (and seems friendly) but it is within a 4 minute walk of a bus stop (to Newcastle and Durham) and 10 minutes or so to a good Tesco and the town...

"Finchale is such a beautiful place, next to the priory ruins in a bend of the river Wear - amazing views across the river, or from the far bank to the priory. The big sitting room has views of the river on three sides, and is a really comfortable and relaxing room. There's a well-provided kitchen and generous modern bathroom (and separate WC).
