"Relaxing location right on Tyne mouth"
Very relaxing stay, watching ships enter Newcastle, and enjoying the very recently refurbished and zany seafront. Including mood lighting at night on sea front and very clever sculptures that are always interesting. Great location for trips out including £5 trip by ferry to great fish and chip restaurant.

"Hotel is in lovely location and very clean."
We enjoyed our stay at the Roker hotel but we were in room 128 which is up at the back and unsuitable for anyone with mobility problems and the view wasn't very nice compared to the lovely view at front. Breakfast is an extra £10 per person which we declined and walked up to the cafe bungalow on opposite side of road and got lovely full English for £6.50 served until 3pm. Room didn't have any drawers for small items of clothing so we had to keep underwear etc in our cases. Rooms are very clean and tidy but lack of storage space let's them down.

"Nice Hotel with beautiful views by the river"
I was in Newcastle for a Stag weekend and from the minute we went through the front door of the hotel we were made feel welcome by the staff at reception. The rooms themselves were spacious and clean and had plenty of amenities on offer (Mini Bar, Selection of Snacks, USB sockets etc). If your staying here I would recommend that you ask for a river front from your room as views were beautiful. The hotel bar is located on the first floor where again you will be greeted by very friendly staff. However compared to the rest of Newcastle the prices at the bar (food & drink) are a bit on the high side. However there is plenty of restaurants and bars in the area to tailor your needs. Overall I had a great experience here and would definitely recommend you staying here.

"Stylish place, friendly and comfortable"
From check in until check out I really enjoyed my stay; the breakfast menu has very interesting hot dishes. In the room a Nespresso machine is a great touch and fresh milk and a bathrobe add to the luxury. I hope to return

"Near work, nice hotel"
I may be a bit biased because I had come from a crappy hotel so the Marriott was fantastic by comparison. It had everything I needed, a bit dated but just fine. The AC worked well, room was quiet. Breakfast arrived on time. No complaints.

Pocket Guide: Wedding Hotels in Newcastle-upon-Tyne

Whether you've been engaged for a while or you've just said yes, if you're planning your big day, there is a great choice of wedding hotels in Newcastle-upon-Tyne. Whether you imagine your wedding day to be a grand event with hundreds of guests or a small, intimate affair with immediate family and close friends, there's a hotel to suit your perfect special day.

Things to Consider When Choosing a Wedding Hotel in Newcastle

The first thing to consider - although it may seem obvious - is where you want to get married and in what kind of style. Do you prefer city weddings in chic surroundings, countryside weddings in grand houses, or seaside weddings on the rugged coast? Newcastle-upon-Tyne and the surrounding area can cater for all of these wedding styles, giving you a lot to choose from.

Another consideration is your guests and where they will stay - at least any who don't live locally. It's most likely that many will be travelling from other parts of the country and so may need a room for the night of the wedding and maybe the night before. You will either need to get married in a hotel with enough rooms for all guests or you would need to advise those invited of other hotels close by.

What You Can Expect from a Newcastle-Upon-Tyne Wedding Hotel

A lot of wedding hotels are licensed so that your wedding ceremony can be held there, so you can consider having your entire day in one place, which may make things very convenient for you and your guests. Alternatively, you can just have your reception in the hotel.

Many of the wedding hotels in Newcastle-upon-Tyne employ experienced wedding planners to assist you with organising the big day - everything from reception drinks to entertainment.

Planning your dream wedding can seem daunting, but finding the perfect wedding hotel in Newcastle-upon-Tyne certainly isn't! From here, you'll have everything you need to make it the most special day of your lives together.
