"This is a great place to stay and visit if visiting the renowned Cadgwith Cove. A really good welcome and helpful and attentive check in, and early aswell!
Friendly staff and the food I had in the evening was delicious, made all the better on a Tuesday with some Cornish folk singers in the pub!
The room was above the pub so this may not suit some people and the bathroom and toilet was shared, this didn’t put me off my stay. I slept well and the bed was comfy. The pub is quite literally from...

"We were made to feel welcome by the receptionist, barman and dinning staff. Their friendly and helpful manner added to the enjoyment of our stay. We would highly recommend people to stay at the Ship and Castle."
"Just amazing, I could not fault a thing. Perfect location, easy onsite parking, massive room with a stunning view of the harbour. Super friendly staff, great range of beers in ‘The Pub’. Beautifully cooked & presented breakfast. 100% spot on. Will definitely go back & stay again."
"We loved the atmosphere of the Alverton and its grounds. There was plenty of space for parking and the reception was only a short walk.
The rooms we had were very well presented and very clean. I have marked down on the eco credentials as all the lights and television were on when we arrived which wasn't necessary.
The terrace was a great place to sit in the late afternoon for a pre-dinner drink. At times the bar staff were talking to each other rather than looking after customers needs but they were always polite.
We ate dinner the first night of our stay which was delicious and at a reasonable price. Breakfast was very good too. I would recommend this hotel to my friends."
"It was a surprise booking after the prior booking being turned down. Booked for 3 nights but extended for one more. Lovely location and really good for the family trip.
Will definitely book it again for another family holiday. "
