"Good hotel, lovely staff, comfy bed and good food"
Excellent value for money, spotlessly clean. Great location for touring, but own transport best here as not a lot in walking distance. Owners John and Rod are excellent hosts.

"Gorgeous beach front hotel with great food & staff"
We stayed at the Sands for our anniversary weekend and couldn't have had a better time. The hotel was lovely, our room was huge, the staff were very friendly and the view was great. I personally didn't like the town centre however it is so easy to get around to other towns and villages that this wouldn't stop me recommending to others. There is a lot to do within the hotel however as our weather wasn't great we didn't try this out. Also, we don't have children however the facilities for kids looked great and I noticed a babysitting monitor in our room.

"Nice hotel, lovely spa, food expensive"
Friendly helpful staff, lovely cosy seating area (ballroom). Wild cafe food seemed expensive. Lovely family sea view room, although very hot, had to open window and very noisy and windy night! No hairdryer or iron....if you need these items. Lovely local hand made guest soaps for you in the bathroom. Used the spa for a treatment, was lovely and reasonably priced. Don't forget your bathers, there is a pool. Great kids play area and lovely sea views. Must note that we did mention the hot room and the duty manager came to see us and apologised and took money off our bill. All in all a lovely hotel, I would stay again but did cost £££££.

"Great guesthouse across the road from beach"
Andy and Emma have created a lovely guesthouse where nothing is too much trouble. Great breakfasts, sandwiches, well stocked honesty bar and lovely terrace overlooking the beach. Emma's cake of the day is a fantastic idea and it was great to return to delicious freshly cooked cakes each day. It is ideally located in Porth, quieter than Newquay and near some lovely beaches which were not too busy even in peak season. Would highly recommend and definitely return.

"Stay near Newquay"
Best Breakfast so far out of 5 UK hotels we have stayed at. Doubt we will find better. Staff friendly and helpful. Hotel needs a bit of love and attention to tidy up front yard and fix little things that don't work in the room eg bathroom door not shutting. Most annoying thing was hotel allowed a guest to have a dog in their room and it yapped in when we were trying to sleep. Give it a tidy up to improve functionality and presentation and would rate it better,

"A quality hotel, minutes from the beach"
A lovely hotel. Very clean and modern rooms which were well equiped. The hotel boasts a raised aspect with views out onto the nearby family friendly beach. Staff were ever courteous, and even when we were the last at breakfast never made us feel out of place or hurried. 15 minutes walk in to the centre of Newquay, mostly taking a cliff top coastal walk

Pocket Guide: Cornwall Newquay Cornwall Hotels

Cornwall’s premier commercial airport is just over four miles to the northeast of Newquay, on the county’s stunning north coast. Cornwall is justly renowned for its multitude of excellent B&B options, mainly family-run and offering the traveller all the home comforts they could want. On the other hand, staying in the vicinity of Newquay Cornwall Airport also has its advantages, as many of the bigger hotel chains are here, offering high levels of service and many specialist facilities for the business traveller.

    Where is Newquay?

Newquay is an attractive modern town and former fishing village on the north coast of Cornwall, one of the most atmospheric coastlines in the UK, and studded with hidden bays and coves. Because of this, the towns here used to do a healthy trade in smuggled goods, but nowadays the trend is firmly towards tourism. Newquay and the surrounding towns and villages have a great selection of accommodation options, from the grand hotels lining the seafront in Newquay itself to numerous smaller guesthouses and B&B establishments. Some of the bigger hotels are historic listed buildings, and many of the guesthouses are on dairy farms, so you get a real taste of traditional Cornwall here, whichever option choose.

    Top Quality Accommodation in Newquay

Leisure travellers in Cornwall will find plenty of clean, tidy and well-priced rooms in the rural parts of the county father away from the airport. These are usually run by families who bend over backwards to welcome guests and provide them with a memorable experience of the region. The airport hotels too have their appeal and are slick and efficient establishments designed to cater for business as well as leisure travellers.

With surprisingly fast broadband internet access and a host of other essential facilities and services, such as conferencing space and photocopying machines, the big chain hotels close to Newquay Cornwall offer everything the corporate traveller needs to keep on top of things between meetings. Comfort and convenience are the name of the game here, and as well as five-star accommodation, you can often enjoy spa treatments and extensive sports facilities.

Get Out and About in Newquay

Whether you’re just passing through Newquay Cornwall Airport or have a lengthier visit in mind, the area is full of great attractions. Based in a spa hotel on the outskirts of town or a farmhouse B&B in the countryside, you’ll have easy access to everything from the Lappa Valley Steam Railway to the Cornwall Aviation Heritage Centre.

A Taste of Cornwall at Newquay

Cornwall maintains a unique tradition when it comes to cuisine, and from the plush hotels and restaurants of Newquay to the smaller guesthouses of the region, you can enjoy mouth-watering dishes in style and comfort. The airport hotels have excellent restaurants, offering the likes of Cornish pasties and Stargazy Pie, a traditional seafood dish. Treats like clotted cream, Cornish Fairings and Hevva Cake are also very much in evidence and on the menu of every hotel and guesthouse around the airport, as well as the ubiquitous Cornish pasty!
