"Very close to the subway"
Overall the hotel accommodate our needs as we did not spoke the host's country language. The staffs were helpful most of the time. The hotel was very clean similar to a four stars rating used in Canada and USA.

"Incredible!!! Remarkable!!! Wonderful!!! Best view"
We arrived ignorant of the excellence awaiting us! Top notch staff-beautiful lobby, elegant modern hotel was better than imagined. Rooms from toto bath, to pjs, to most comfortable beds that rejuvenated up after 12-hour flight, were truly amazing and perhaps the finest hotel Tokyo has to offer. The view of the iconic Tokyo clock tower. Shinjuku gardens, and the adjacent Shinjuku station offer multi-trillion dollar views from the 20th floor lobby and bar. We could not have been more delighted, but we were when we woke up to a delicious, nothing overlooked real fast buffet that ran the gamut from traditional Japanese to American five-star resort! And the wonderful accommodating staff that handled the international crowd with deft courtesy, unassuming, but attentive and thoroughly prescient-Outstanding!!!!!! Will go back in a heartbeat, if we can make our trip of a lifetime again! I should probably save this selfishly to myself, but they are too good to ignore. Excellent Expedia rates (I booked early) It cost less than a discount night at the Waldorf in Manhattan, but brand-spanking new!!!!

"Good to have a hotel near a main station like AKB"
Got a smoking room and don't smoke so the curtains were stained from tobacco etc. Other than that the room was ace and right next to the station with many groceries and other shops around. Restaurants in the neighborhood aren't great so don't eat local :)

"Modern hotel with great staff close to JR Shinjuku"
Room was compact (normal for Japan) but modern and had everything we needed. Room under beds to store suitcases. Bathroom was pod-sized - only one person can use it at a time. Beds were very, very firm. View from 15th floor was amazing. Room and bathroom were clean. Shower had good pressure and temperature control. Toilet had warmed seat and bidet - you'll find these all over Japan, even public restrooms! The best thing about the Shinjuku Prince Hotel is the staff - they were incredibly friendly, their English was very good, they went out of the way to help and to make sure you felt taken care of. Great information desk to help you plan your days/how to get around the city. Hotel is in the heart of Shinjuku - walking distance for Gyoen Park - amazing for cherry blossoms. Five minute walk from the Robot Restaurant (in the red light district but we (two young females) felt quite safe even at midnight when it had come alive). Ten min walk to a fab samurai museum. Easy access to subway lines and JR lines to get you to Harajuku, Shibuya, Marunouchi/Tokyo station, Ginza, Ueno... There is a top floor bar with amazing views. Beware though - the orange juice costs more than the wine! If I'd known a glass of OJ would cost me about £7, I never would have ordered it. At least the view made up for it.

"Hotel Keihan "
The staff were very nice and helpful, they changed us to a non-smoking room. The beds were comfy. The breakfast was nice and there was plenty of choice. Try to get a room at the back of the building. Location is good, lots of shops, sightseeing spots and train station near by.

Large hotel with too many group tourists. The humongous breakfast dinning facilities is overwhelming and not conducive for ordinary travelers.

"Comfy & convenient"
Totally decent hotel conveniently located a 10 min (unencumbered) walk from Shinjuku Station, and close to lovely Chuo Park. Clean, quiet, all the needed amenities (including a small fridge), free Wifi, free frequent shuttle to and from Shinjuku station, all for an affordable price of around $115/night for two for a room without a nice view. The bed was comfortable enough, big enough for two healthy Westerners, and long enough for a 6´tall man. Non-smoking floor did not smell of smoke; in fact the lobby and common areas did not have that tell-tale stench which I very much appreciated. You could walk here with luggage via the underground tunnels if needed, but the shuttle starts running at 0700h and stops just before 2200h (no service from 1030-1500). There is a breakfast buffet (~Y1400) at the onsite Mermaid Restaurant, but I'd recommend either buying breakfast items the night before or hitting a little local café or a place in Shinjuku station, where you can get a full meal for half that price. Would definitely stay here again!
