"Great budget hotel"
For the price and the area, great amount of space. The front desk was super helpful. Also held our bags after we checked out for a few hours before our flight which was nice.

"Great Place for Layover"
After a long flight , if you don't have a hotel with a shuttle service, its nice to find something reasonable and easy to find. After exiting customs you follow sign for Monorail. The automatic machine for ticket is super easy. 490 Y is one way to Hamamatsucho Station. (machine does not take credit cards) insert 1000Y note presto. Hold onto ticket as you also need it to exit. Look up at the board and see which is the express train. (they only list 3) When you exit at the world trade center go left up the hill to the first main traffic light, turn right, cross street, and the hotel is on the left a few hundred yards. Presto

"Great location, good basic accomodations, value"
Great location very close to Shin-Okubo station on the JR Yamanote line which puts you within easy access of most sightseeing in the city. Very inexpensive with Expedia bundle and the room was comfortable for the most part. There was a convenient laundromat across the alley and free wifi. We didn't mind chilling on tatami mats. There are issues, however. First, as mentioned by others--the futons are very thin--I needed 3. Second, there is no privacy at all. We had a 3 person room for a family of 3 and the bathroom isn't even large enough to fit a garbage can--it's the kind of shower/toilet combo bathroom you'd see in an RV. You can't change in there after a shower or your clothes get wet and there isn't even a corner in the room you can stand behind. Third, there was a bit of a cleanliness issue-while it was clean for the most part there was some mildew along the wall under our window and the towels smelled like smoke (though they had been laundered so they were clean). Fourth, they were really adamant about putting your shoes in the lockers at the reception area. I don't mind taking my shoes off but I'd rather just carry them with me to my room and back. Having to get them out of locker makes even going to get coffee out of the vending machine in front of the place a hassle. It's like they don't trust you to take your shoes off in your room or something. Annoying. Overall we were pleased and would go back. If you can deal with the minor issues I'd recommend it.

"Clean, quiet & breakfast at price of capsule hotel"
Mita Kaikan Hotel is a quiet, basic, clean, with full bath, WiFi and breakfast. Centrally located in Minato and close to Shiba Park and the Mita, Asakusa and Yamanote subway lines. Although quiet, there are enough places to find a bite to eat or convenience stores like Lawson and Family Mart/Famima. In terms of service and breakfast (choice of sandwiches or rice balls along with beverages and soups), it is basic but consider it's not typically included at most hotels and the staff is friendly. I was at the hotel for 4 days and it was a good stay as the price was about the same or less than a typical capsule hotel which has less privacy. I'd stay again.

"Nice hotel and close to Akihabara and Asakusa ^_^"
The Hotel was nice, affordable, pretty clean, very kind staff, and close to at least 3 train stations, I also went to Akihabara walking and took me 20 mins. I also took the train, 3 mins, to Asakusa. went to Ueno and took me 10 mins. There's also a convince store, open 24/7, right beside the hotel. The room was small but very clean, but who cares how big or small the room is if you are going out the whole day and use the room only for sleeping. I would go back to this hotel if I would want a place to stay. ^_^
