Had a lovely time at the Mencey. Staff absolutely lovely and so friendly, hotel both grand in its colonnaded porches and cool inner courtyard, and comfortable, with many places to have drinks and food in the shade and chill. Spa very well kitted out (extra €18 a day) breakfast spread faultless. Grilled Seafood served on the pool terrace is particularly good. Pool is great, using salt water instead of chlorine. We stayed in Casablanca Apartments July 14 to July 29, a family of four in a 2 bedroom apartment. Our stay was very pleasant and comfortable: 1: Staff: Very professional and pleasant- helpful and friendly - receptionists, bar staff, maids all provided excellent support 2: Apartment: Great size, kitchen well equipped- you need to bring nothing, there is even an oven and juicer, , all has marble floor, nice balcony, TV has 8 English channels, Film 4 BBC1 - BBC 2- ITV-Gold-24 hrs News etc ...

As a single woman traveller I had a great stay. I found the hotel staff welcoming, helpful and efficient. A small problem with the shower was fixed within minutes of my reporting it. My room was a good sized double room looking out onto a quiet back street with pleasant balcony. The hotel is spotlessly clean and recently re-decorated with a contemporary feel. Clean and most importantly quiet, far away from the drunken louts of Los Cristianos, we even slept well over New Year. Decent breakfast and lots of restaurants within a 10 minute walk. Staff excellent, pricey over New Year but fair. Decent pool, lots of parking nearby. Hilly area but within the resort suitable for anyone.

Great location in quiet area - hrly shuttle to local beach -(blue flag, black sand, lovely) and town. Friendly knowledgeable staff. Spotless spacious rooms. We preferred room with mountain view as gets sun this time of year. Would definitely stay again.
